Concept Car: Intrado (HED-9)
Hyundai's crossover concept "Intrado"; codenamed "HED-9" is displayed for the first time in ASEAN at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2015. Intrado shows off Hyundai's optimistic vision of a future where mobility is more enjoyable and demonstrates Hyundai's belief that advanced vehicle technologies and intelligent design can combine to engage more effectively with driver and passengers. The car's use of lightweight materials, new construction methods and advanced powertrain raises efficiency, while the design focus, both inside and out, is on purely meeting the needs of consumers in terms of usability.
Taking its name from the underside of an aircraft's wing – the area that creates lift; Intrado was designed with inspiration from aircraft which emphasizes the use of high quality materials with lightweight but high strength properties. The body structure of Intrado is constructed from carbon fiber, reducing weight by 70% when compared to a conventional chassis without compromising safety attributes while the exterior body panels are made of advanced super-lightweight steel. Furthermore, unnecessary adornments and detailing are removed in an effort to reduce weight and maximize efficiency.
Intrado is powered by a next-generation hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain that utilizes a Li-ion 36 kW battery. Refuelled in just a few minutes, Intrado has a range of more than 600 kilometers and emits only water. In addition to increased range, Intrado promises more responsive and agile driving dynamics, thanks to its reduced weight and greater efficiency of its powertrain.
Intrado received the Jury Prize from the JEC Innovation awards 2015 for its unique carbon fiber frame design utilizing new construction methods and processes which increases efficiency when compared with other conventional carbon fiber construction methods. This is a testament to Hyundai's innovation and prowess in developing new technologies for automobiles of the future.

New Hyundai Booth Design
This year, Hyundai's booth at the Motor Expo has been redesigned according to Hyundai's new global corporate identity, in which the design has been updated to create a greater sense of harmony between technology and nature. From the current palette of using a Blue tone with curved lines and rounded corners, the new design utilizes a more aesthetically pleasing Bronze color tone with sharp edges and angles, which also serves to enhance the brand's direction of a more premium image. This new design corresponds to Hyundai's new "Global Dealership Space Identity" (GDSI), standards for the design of Hyundai showrooms around the world, in which Hyundai showrooms in Thailand are gradually changing their exterior appearance to follow these new guidelines. Customers can instantly recognize the improved premium ambience and experience a heightened sense of luxury upon entering the redesigned showrooms.
