Contest Challenges Men to “Be All You Can Be”
Final Results to be Announced at October 29 Party
Bangkok, Thursday, October 29, 2009 - To celebrate its third anniversary, Men’s Health Thailand, the modern guy’s guide to health and fitness, has issued a challenge to Thai men to be all they can be by participating in the Men’s Health Guys’ Challenge 2009. Results of the challenge are slated to be announced today at a party hosted by the magazine’s editorial director Nitra Kitiyakara Na Ayudhya at DEMO, Thonglor Soi 10.
Men’s Health Guys’ Challenge 2009 aims to promote health and fitness awareness among Thai men and help them become girls’ “dream guys” with fit bodies, a good personality and attitude and outstanding individual style. At tonight’s event, the 10 finalists will reveal the changes they have achieved through the challenge, but only one will go home with the Men’s Health Guy 2009 title.
Men’s Health Thailand Editorial Director Nitra Kitiyakara said that the goal of the challenge was to find men ages 20-40 who were interested in improving their personality and personal appeal as well as their health and physical fitness, while at the same time seeking to increase awareness of health and fitness among Thai men. With the support of partners Oishi Green Tea, Svenson Hair Center, Adidas, GNC Live Well, Hearti Benecol, Subaru, Vitallife Wellness Center, Truelife, Fitness First, Fairtex Muaythai, Jacob’s Creek and True Visions, the challenge has now reached its final round.
“We hosted workshops for our finalists on a variety of topics, including physical exercise and sports, nutrition, simple and healthy cooking, personality development, and styling and grooming,” said Nitra. “These workshops were designed to help improve their physical health from within, enhance their appearances and personality, and build a positive attitude towards taking care of themselves, and all 10 finalists have shown lots of progress in all areas. A total of three awards are up for grabs: Men’s Health Guy Award, Cool Guy Award and Popular Guy Award.”

The panel of judges in the final round consists of DJ/MC Kris Sribhumiseth, actor/entrepreneur Prem Busaracumwong, True Corporation Assistance Director Jatemerin Jateraveechote, Fitness First Fitness Manager Thirapan Ngamsiriporn and Men’s Health editorial director Nitra Kitiyakara.
Besides the chance to root for their favorite contestants up close, guests will be treated to a fashion show featuring Men’s Health guys while being eligible to win special prizes from the magazine.
