นิวซีแลนด์จัดนิทรรศการการศึกษาครั้งที่ 21 ในประเทศไทย



กรุงเทพ [18 กันยายน 2558]: หน่วยงานการศึกษานิวซีแลนด์ (Education New Zealand) โชว์คุณภาพระบบการศึกษาระดับมาตรฐานโลก เชิญผู้ปกครอง พร้อมนักเรียนและนักศึกษาไทยร่วมงาน “นิทรรศการการศึกษานิวซีแลนด์ครั้งที่ 21” ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรมเดอะ เวสทิน แกรนด์ สุขุมวิท ในวันเสาร์ที่ 26 กันยายนนี้

นางไซน่า จาลิล ผู้อำนวยการหน่วยงานการศึกษานิวซีแลนด์ประจำภูมิภาคเอเชียใต้ และเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ กล่าวว่า “ปัจจุบันนักเรียนไทยให้ความสนใจไปศึกษาต่อนิวซีแลนด์มากกว่าประเทศอื่นๆ ในอาเซียน โดยขณะนี้มีจำนวนเกือบ 4,000 คน ซึ่งเป็นแรงกระตุ้นให้สถาบันการศึกษาของนิวซีแลนด์ที่มาร่วมงานนิทรรศการการศึกษานิวซีแลนด์ในปีนี้ให้ความสำคัญกับนักศึกษาไทย และนำเสนอหลักสูตรที่มีคุณภาพ เพื่อมอบโอกาสทางการศึกษาที่เหมาะสมกับนักศึกษาไทยให้มากยิ่งขึ้น”

“นอกจากจะเป็นประเทศที่มีปัจจัยที่เอื้อต่อการศึกษาสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติแล้ว สถาบันการศึกษาของนิวซีแลนด์ยังมีคุณภาพติดอันดับโลก และมีชื่อเสียงในด้านความปลอดภัย โดยนิวซีแลนด์เป็นประเทศแรกในโลกที่มีการออกกฎคุ้มครองนักเรียนต่างชาติ ที่เรียกว่า ข้อกำหนดวิธีปฏิบัติในการให้ความดูแลเอาใจใส่ต่อความปลอดภัยและสวัสดิภาพของนักเรียนนักศึกษานานาชาติ หรือ Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students” นางไซน่ากล่าวสรุป

ทุกมหาวิทยาลัยในนิวซีแลนด์ได้รับการจัดอันดับใน 2015 QS World University Rankings Top-500 ที่เพิ่งประกาศในสัปดาห์นี้ โดยพิจารณาจากชื่อเสียงของสถาบันและการยอมรับจากผู้จ้างงาน สัดส่วนของนักเรียนและเจ้าหน้าที่คณะ จำนวนงานวิจัย รวมทั้งสัดส่วนของเจ้าหน้าที่ต่างชาติและนักเรียนนักศึกษาต่างชาติในคณะ

ในงานนี้จะมีสถาบันการศึกษาจากประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย โรงเรียน สถาบันภาษา สถาบันทักษะวิชาชีพ และสถาบันอุดมศึกษา 46 แห่ง เข้าร่วมให้ข้อมูลหลักสูตรและทุนการศึกษาที่น่าสนใจ พร้อมแนะแนวการศึกษา และการเตรียมความพร้อมแก่ผู้ปกครอง ตลอดจนนักเรียนและนักศึกษาที่มีแผนจะไปศึกษาต่อในประเทศนิวซีแลนด์

สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจทุนการศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยลินคอล์น มอบทุนการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีประจำปีการศึกษา 2559 จำนวน 10 ทุน ภายใต้โครงการ “Global Challenges Scholarship” ซึ่งเป็นการมอบทุนแก่นักศึกษาต่างชาติเป็นครั้งแรก โดยผู้รับทุนจะต้องเป็นคนรุ่นใหม่ที่มีจิตสำนึกและความห่วงใยต่อปัญหาที่มนุษย์และโลกของเรากำลังเผชิญอยู่ในปัจจุบัน และมหาวิทยาลัยวิกตอเรียแห่งเวลลิงตัน ประกาศรับสมัครผู้สนใจรับทุนการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ประเภททุนค่าเล่าเรียนปีแรก สำหรับปีการศึกษา 2559 จำนวน 5 ทุน พบตัวแทนมหาวิทยาลัยลินคอล์น และมหาวิทยาลัยวิกตอเรียแห่งเวลลิงตัน ได้ที่งาน “นิทรรศการการศึกษานิวซีแลนด์ครั้งที่ 21”

New Zealand’s quality education to be showcased in Thailand



Bangkok, [18 September 2015]: New Zealand will showcase its high-quality education system to Thai students and their parents when Education New Zealand (ENZ) hosts its 21st annual Education Fair in Bangkok on September 26.

Education New Zealand Regional Director – South & South East Asia, Ziena Jalil said more Thai students study in New Zealand than from any other ASEAN country.

“With nearly 4,000 Thai students studying in New Zealand, institutions in the country are committed to providing high-quality education opportunities for Thai students.

“This year’s fair offers a unique opportunity for Thai students and their parents to get the information they need about studying and living in New Zealand, direct from many of the country’s leading education providers.”

ENZ is the New Zealand government agency responsible for marketing the country’s education system internationally. Some 40 New Zealand education institutions will be represented, including schools, private training establishments, institutes of technology, polytechnics and universities.

Ms Jalil said New Zealand is popular with Thai students for several reasons.

“New Zealand warmly welcomes international students. Not only do many of our institutions rank highly globally for the quality of their education, but New Zealand is also a very safe and secure place to live and study. For example, we were the first country in the world to introduce a Code of Pastoral Care for international students, ensuring that international students are well treated and provided with the best opportunities to succeed.”

All of New Zealand’s eight universities are ranked among the top 500 in the world, according to the 2015 QS international rankings released this week, based on their academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty to student ratio, citations per faculty, proportion of international staff, and international students.

Everyone interested in learning more about education opportunities in New Zealand is welcome to visit and meet with institutions’ representatives at the fair. For students looking for scholarships, Lincoln University is offering 10 Global Challenges Scholarships to international undergraduates in 2016 to engage passionate and cause-driven students concerned about global issues and wanting to make a difference. Victoria University of Wellington also invites outstanding young scholars and future leaders in Thailand to apply for 5 ASEAN Undergraduate Tuition Fees Scholarship.
