Maxus showcasing three V80 derivatives at 31st Motor Expo









          Maxus Motor (Thailand) Co. Ltd., a division of the Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, is highlighting three versions of the Maxus V80 large van at the 31st Thailand International Motor Expo at the Challenger Hall, Muanthong Thani from November 29 to December 4.

          The V80 opens up a new segment in the Thai automobile market namely the GPV (Grand Passenger Van) segment, offering larger interior and higher safety levels. Target customers for the V80 are fleet customers as well as large families.

          Taking center stage at the Maxus booth is the V80 ambulance concept that boasts similarly high standards as ambulance vehicles in Europe and the United States.

          Mr. Abhichet Sitalakin, president of Maxus Motor (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said, “The Maxus V80 opens up a new GPV (Grand Passenger Van) segment in Thailand. Along with its larger size, it boasts outstanding multi-purpose capability, especially when customized for various uses. Examples include the hydraulic Superseat for the elderly fitted to the V80 Grand Euro or custom V80 Grand Tourer which is targeted at large organization customers.”

          According to Abhichet, initial customers will be within the CP Group, before expanding to schools, tourism industry, government agencies, state enterprises, industrial estates, armed forces, etc.

          “At the Motor Expo, we are displaying an ambulance concept that significantly raises the standards of ambulances in Thailand with its larger size, allowing medical personnel to carry out their duty more conveniently and effectively,” he said, adding that hospitals are an important customer group for Maxus.

          The Maxus V80 carries European safety standards and come with 4-wheel ABS brakes with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Brake Assist), dual front SRS airbags, and all-round safety body structure.

          Power comes from a 2.5-liter diesel engine with common-rail injection from Bosch, along with variable geometry turbocharger, capable of developing some 136 horsepower and 330Nm of torque.

At the Motor Expo 2014, Maxus is displaying three customized models as follows:
1. Maxus V80 Ambulance
          This ambulance concept represents another important selling point for the Maxus V80 that differentiates itself from competitors in the Thai market. In overseas markets, the Maxus van is often customized for various uses such as ambulances, school buses, police vehicles and armored vehicles, etc. By displaying the V80 Ambulance Concept, Maxus is able to communicate to customers about the benefits derived from the larger size, as well as higher comfort and safety levels of the V80. These are qualities that customers in overseas markets consider when selecting a vehicle for customization purposes.

2. Maxus V80 Grand Euro
          The Maxus V80 Grand Euro is an 11-seater VIP limousine that is fully furnished with high-quality materials such as genuine leather upholstery, electrically-adjustable second-row Ottoman seats (with legrest) and a fully-loaded entertainment system. The driver and passenger compartment is divided with an electric-powered glass partition that helps increase privacy. Automatic side steps are electrically-operated allowing for easy entry and exit, while the rearview camera offers easier parking maneuvers.

3. Maxus V80 Grand Tourer
          The V80 is customized for a wider use while maintaining the high levels of comfort, thanks to its exceptionally spacious interior providing a 1.71-meter cabin height. Seats are upholstered with genuine leather and entertainment system includes a LCD screen with DVD player and USB input. Other standard features include rearview camera and automatic electric side steps. The last-row seats come with sliding mechanism allowing for plenty of luggage room, while maintaining high comfort for passengers. Occupants also get more legroom in every seat than other vans in the market due to the V80’s larger cabin.

          “Displaying an ambulance at this event is a unique marketing offensive, and we concentrate on creating direct sales opportunities with target customer groups. For example when hospital customers see the real ambulance, it is easier to finalize the sale. Another important strategy for Maxus in penetrating the market is ‘Experimental Marketing’ that helps create close customer experience with the vehicle. We take the vehicles directly to the customers to use in daily life and we have received tremendous response,” Abhichet said.

          As the first-ever BMW M cars to feature engineered-in curb weight reduction from one generation to the next, the all-new M4 Coupé stand poised to attack corners, hills, and braking zones, and will vigorously defend BMW M’s decades-strong position as segment leader around the world.
The “M4” badge is a reference to the model series that provides the basis for the all-new M model. The engine is the heart of every M model, and the new turbocharged six-cylinder unit fitted in the all-new BMW M4 Coupe combines the virtues of a high-revving naturally aspirated unit with the strengths of turbocharger technology.The all-new BMW M4 Coupé produces a maximum output of 431 hp. Its peak torque of 550 Nm at 1,850-5,500 rpm is available across a wide rev band and outstrips the figure recorded by the outgoing BMW M3 by roughly 40 percent. And yet the engine also achieves a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions of nearly 25 percent. The all-new BMW M4 Coupé sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission.
          In the interest of maximizing dynamic ability and ensuring excellent efficiency, weight savings of around 80 kilograms have been achieved over a comparably equipped predecessor model. The BMW M4 Coupé sets new standards in terms of overall concept, precision and agility, thanks to the rigorous application of intelligent lightweight design measures. These include the increased use of lightweight materials such as carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminum for a number of chassis and body components. Indeed, the model features a carbon-fiber roof.
          The all-new BMW X6 xDrive30d M Sport
          The all-new BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupé, BMW’s second generation Sports Activity Coupé, comes with a suitably exclusive roster of standard equipment that goes well beyond the previous model.
          The design of the all-new BMW X6 body combines the robust presence of a BMW Sports Activity Vehicle with the hallmark sporting elegance of the brand’s coupés to create an unmistakably athletic appearance. The long hood, long wheelbase, short front overhang and set-back passenger compartment are characteristic design features of a BMW. Its high window sill and large wheel arches highlight the Sports Activity Coupé’s ties to the BMW SAV family.
          Among the other ingredients in the extroverted, athletic looks of the all-new BMW X6 are the clearly visible details designed to optimize the car’s aerodynamics. They include the air deflectors on the front wheel arches, the Air Curtains integrated into the outer air intakes of the front apron and the Air Breathers in the fenders, which team up to reduce turbulence in the front wheel arches.
          The side view of the all-new BMW X6 is likewise defined by eye-catching lines and sharply-drawn contours. The wedge shape of the silhouette is accentuated by a model-specific interpretation of the double swage lines. Emerging from the front wheel arches, the first rises steadily up along the new BMW X6 to the rear door handles. A second swage line sets out on a lower path, extending in a dynamic sweep into the rear lights.
          The dynamic character of the Sports Activity Coupé is accentuated by M Sport package which includes BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow Line trim, 20 inch M light-alloy wheels, as well as the specially-tuned Adaptive M suspension. Meticulous design refines truly athletic looks in the all-new BMW X6: aluminum door sill strips bearing the M logo and the anthracite-colored BMW Individual roof liner, electrically adjustable sports seats for the driver and front passenger, and M leather steering wheel all combine to bring an intense aura of sporty driving to the interior of the all-new BMW X6. A specially-designed car key is also part of M Sport.
          The powertrain variants of the all-new BMW X6 xDrive30d feaure an in-line six-cylinder disel engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and 218 horsepower. The model comes with BMW xDrive, the company’s intelligent all-wheel drive system and 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission. Fuel consumption has been cut to 16.7 km./l.
          The new BMW X3 continues the success of the mid-sized SAV lineage with a host of enhancements which include new engine and drivetrain options.

In contrast to a two-door coupé, the all-new BMW 428i Gran Coupé M Sport offers passengers easier access when entering or leaving the vehicle thanks to the four-door configuration. The doors are frameless, having the characteristic design features of BMW midsize coupés.
          As the new powertrain variant, the all-new BMW 428i Gran Coupé M Sport boasts four cylinders and the ideal balance between sportiness and efficiency. The BMW TwinPower Turbo engine combines high-revving characteristics and high-performance output with low fuel consumption and reduced emissions. The 2.0-liter engine delivers a maximum power output of 218 hp, which is reached between 5,000 and 6,500 rpm. Peak torque of 350 Nm is generated between 1,250 rpm and 4,800 rpm.           BMW i8
          The BMW i8 is the world’s first plug-in hybrid sports car. In zero-emission all-electric mode, the BMW i8 has a top speed of 120 km/h and a range of 37 kilometres within the EU test cycle. In Sport mode the BMW i8 offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. Top speed with combined performance is 250 km/h.
          In everyday commuting, the BMW i8 returns fuel consumption below 20 km/litre around town, less than 14.28 km/litre in extra-urban or motorway driving, and, during longer-distance operation at higher speeds, below 12.5 km/litre – approximately the emission values of a compact car.

          The New MINI Hatch 5-Door
          The first-ever MINI Hatch with five doors officially arrives in Thailand, the first time in the history of the brand that the Hatch has been offered with two rear doors. The new model combines the hallmark driving fun, distinctive character and refinement of its three door sibling with enhanced practicality and interior comfort thanks to the extended wheelbase. Rear passengers now have 72 millimetres more legroom compared to the 3-Door Hatch, while the increased space also provides room for a third seat in the back row. The two rear doors make access to the expanded rear seating more comfortable.

          มร.ยาสุชิ คาวาคามิ ประธานกรรมการบริหาร บริษัท คาวาซากิ มอเตอร์ เอ็นเตอร์ไพรส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด เปิดเผยว่า “คาวาซากิ” มีแนวทางในการทำตลาดโดยการส่งผ่านความเชื่อมั่น และความภาคภูมิใจในทุกผลิตภัณฑ์ ภายใต้คอนเซ็ปต์ “Feel Kawasaki” เพื่อความสุขที่เร้าใจ ในผลิตภัณฑ์ที่หลากหลายรูปแบบ ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่โดดเด่นของคาวาซากิในตลาดโลก และเรามีความภูมิใจที่จะนำเสนอ “Kawasaki Ninja H2” หนึ่งในผลิตภัณฑ์ที่สุดยอดที่สุดให้กับตลาดประเทศไทย

          สำหรับรถจักรยานยนต์ Kawasaki Ninja H2 ซึ่งถือเป็นไฮไลท์ของงาน Motor Expo 2014 และเป็นการจัดโชว์ ครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยเจ้าสปอร์ตคันนี้ได้รับการถ่ายทอดสุดยอดเทคโนโลยี และการออกแบบมาจาก Ninja H2R รถแข่งสมรรถนะสูง ด้วยการผสมผสานเทคโนโลยีชั้นยอดจาก Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group เพื่อให้ Ninja H2 เป็นรถสปอร์ตที่ใช้งานได้บนท้องถนนอย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ ด้วยพละกำลังของเครื่องยนต์ 998 ซีซี ทำงานร่วมกับระบบ Super Charger ที่ ให้พละกำลังมากถึง 200 แรงม้า และสามารถขับขี่ได้อย่างมั่นใจด้วยระบบ KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) ระบบป้องกันการลื่นไถลที่สามารถปรับระดับได้ตามสภาพการใช้งานให้เหมาะสม ผสมผสานกับการออกแบบให้รับมือกับความเร็วทุกรูปแบบ และเจ้าซูเปอร์สปอร์ตคันนี้ที่สามารถตอบโจทย์ของผู้ที่ชื่นชอบเทคโนโลยียานยนต์สมรรถนะสูง ผสมผสานกับ ศิลปการออกแบบที่ลงตัว

          รุ่นต่อมาที่น่าสนใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งคือ Kawasaki 1400GTR ABS รถซูเปอร์สปอร์ตสำหรับการขับขี่ระยะทางไกล ด้วยสมรรถนะเครื่องยนต์ 1,352 ซีซี ที่มาพร้อมเทคโนโลยีครบครัน เพื่อเพิ่มความปลอดภัยและความสะดวกสบายให้กับผู้ขับขี่ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นระบบ Power Mode ที่ให้การขับขี่ได้อย่างนุ่มนวลในรอบความเร็วต่ำ ระบบป้องกันการลื่นไถล(KTRC) ระบบเบรคแบบสัมพันธ์หน้า-หลัง(K-ACT ABS) Wind Screen ปรับระดับด้วยไฟฟ้า และที่ขาดไม่ได้ในรถระดับ First Class คือ ระบบสตาร์ทเครื่องยนต์โดยไม่ต้องใช้กุญแจ (KIPASS) พร้อมด้วยกระเป๋าข้างบรรจุสัมภาระในการเดินทางแบบเต็มพิกัด เบาะนั่งสำหรับผู้ขับขี่และผู้โดยสารนุ่มสบายรับกับรูปทรงของเจ้า 1400GTR ได้เป็นอย่างดี ถือได้ว่ารถคันนี้ถูกใจนักเดินทางและผู้ที่ชื่นชอบธรรมชาติถึงไหนถึงกัน และนี่คือรถมอเตอร์ไซค์ Big Bike สำหรับนักเดินทางตัวจริง

          อีกรุ่นหนึ่งที่มีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่น คือ Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS รถสปอร์ตครุยเซอร์ 649 ซีซี ที่มีรูปทรงฉีกแนวจาก รถสไตล์ครุยเซอร์ทั่วไป โดยมีการออกแบบให้มีรูปทรงสไตล์สปอร์ต ด้วยเครื่องยนต์แบบลูกสูบคู่ (Parallel Twin) พร้อมกับ การออกแบบระบบรองรับน้ำหนักให้รับกับโครงรถเสมือนเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกัน ซึ่งทำให้ Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS คันนี้มี ความทันสมัยกว่ารถสไตล์ครุยเซอร์ทั่ว ๆ ไป ซึ่งได้มีการเปิดตัวไปในงาน Intermot Show ประเทศเยอรมัน และได้รับเสียง ตอบรับมากทีเดียว อีกทั้ง Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS ตัวนี้ออกแบบได้อย่างลงตัวด้วยความสบายในท่วงท่าการขับขี่ พร้อมการ ปรับระดับที่พักเท้าได้ถึง 3 ระดับ เพิ่มความมั่นใจในการขับขี่ของคุณยิ่งขึ้น เรียกได้ว่าตลาดรถแนวครุยเซอร์ต้องร้อนฉ่าอย่างแน่นอนเมื่อได้ยลโฉมของ Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS คันนี้

          อีกรุ่นที่นำมาอวดโฉม เปิดตัวใหม่ล่าสุดของรถตระกูล Z คือ Kawasaki Z300 ABS รถ Naked ที่ถูกจับตามองเป็นอย่างมากในขณะนี้ ซึ่งมีการปรับปรุงสมรรถนะให้แรงเร้าใจด้วยพละกำลังที่เพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 296 ระบบซีซี พร้อมทั้Slipper Clutch แบบเดียวกับที่ใช้ในสนามแข่ง และเพิ่มความปลอดภัยขึ้นไปอีกระดับด้วยระบบเบรค ABS ที่จะทำให้การขับขี่ของคุณสนุก สนานและเร้าใจมากยิ่งขึ้น

Mitsubishi Motors starts the official sales of “All New Triton” in Motor Expo








 
          Mitsubishi Motors Thailand announced today that the one-ton pickup truck “All New Triton” will be public launched in Motor Expo 2014 along with showing full lineup of Mitsubishi car. The new models is powered by a new 2.4-Liter MIVEC Clean Diesel engine that provides 181 horsepower from the durable yet lightweight high-efficiency engine offering the outstanding performance and fuel efficiency of 20% improved from previous model.           The vehicle, with its dramatic, long hood and wheelbase, has an overall length of 4,695mm, width of 1,890mm and height of 1,340mm with a 2,860mm wheelbase. Equipped with 3.3-liter turbo GDi engine and 8-speed auto transmission, HND-9 delivers a maximum output of 370ps, while its exterior design exudes a befitting image of the powerful performance.
          Fluidic yet sleek character lines that stretch from headlamp to trunk, voluminous, powerful car body and a striking, wide hexagonal-shaped radiator grille enhance the vehicle’s high performance image.
