Alongkot is The Impossible – Copa Coca-Cola 2015
Coca-Cola, the popular brand of beverage in Thailand and the world from the Coca-Cola system in Thailand, and a chief advocate of sports, physical activity and active healthy living, has announced that it is sending two Thai youths to the ‘COPA Coca-Cola Camp 2015’ international youth football camp to be held in Berlin, Germany, between 26 – 31 July 2015. In total 110 youths from 20 countries around the world will be training and learning techniques under the close supervision of world-class professional team headed by ‘Hansi Flick’, veteran assistant coach of German national team – FIFA World CupTM 2014’s winner and ‘Pierre Littbarski’, former player of German national team – FIFA World CupTM 1990’s winner.
On hand at a press conference at the Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit were Mr. Pornwut Sarasin, Chairman of Thai NamThip Co., Ltd.; Maj. Gen. Patchara Rattakul, Chief Operating Officer of Haad Thip Plc. and Mr. Nuntivat Thamhatai, Public Affairs & Communications Director, Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd. Also present were this year’s Thai youth representatives: Suphanat Mueanta (Bank), 13, from Sisaket and Prathomporn Phetcharat (Mark), 15, from Samut Sakhon together with Alongkot ‘Cheerer’ Chayaviset who represented Thailand in the 2014 camp and ‘COPA Coca-Cola Ambassador 2015’.

This year Coke offers the national representatives a once-in-a-lifetime experience of rubbing shoulders and training with members of the German team which won the FIFA World CupTM 2014!”
“This year Coke recruited Thai youths aged 13 – 15 to participate in the COPA Coca-Cola Camp 2015, based on their playing skills – heading, juggling, dribbling and goal scoring - as well as their dedication and attitude towards the game. Chosen were two Thai football players seen as rising stars with a bright future having shown strong determination and good football skills. We believe that the camp experience will allow them to build on their abilities. They should gain invaluable football experience that they can later share with their compatriots. They can be a major force in Thailand’s football development,” said Mr. Nuntivat.
Coca-Cola Thailand has agreed to send the following players to the COPA Coca-Cola Camp 2015:
1. Suphanat Mueanta (Bank), 13, from Sisaket. Suphanat has won many championships in and outside Thailand. He was recently voted best forward at a Junior Cup 2015.
2. Prathomporn Phetcharat (Mark), 15, from Samut Sakhon. Pathomporn is a promising midfielder. He has extensive experience in many youth championships.
This year the COPA Coca-Cola Camp highlights ‘Which Part Will You Play?’ as its global theme. It supports the idea of working together as a team where everyone plays an important role with football as the medium connecting people. The concept also encourages youths to use the skills learned in real life off the pitch.
“Each year representatives from Thailand gain priceless experience from developing football techniques to making friends and improving life skills. Alongkot ‘Cheerer’ Chayaviset, whom we sent to the COPA Coca-Cola Camp last year, performed so well throughout the camp that he was picked to be one of eight COPA Coca-Cola Ambassadors 2015,” said Mr. Nuntivat.

Alongkot ‘Cheerer’ Chayaviset, said, “I never thought I would be honored to represent Thailand, the only one from Asia, as COPA Coca-Cola Ambassador 2015. Futhermore, my story was told in the video clip ‘The Impossible’ to promote the 2015 camp and, hopefully inspire everyone on and off the pitch to have the will to fight and overcome obstacles in order to achieve success. I participated in the COPA Coca-Cola Camp last year and it opened me to a whole new world while the football experience was a real eye opener. I got to learn and train with world-class professionals and talented fellow players from different countries. It was an awesome experience. For this year I would like to offer my encouragement to Thailand representatives. I want to tell them to immerse themselves fully in the camp for the best experience of a lifetime.”
First launched in Mexico in 1998, the international youth football tournament ‘COPA Coca-Cola’ has been held in more than 60 countries around the world. Over one million football youths have participated in the programme. The camp offers youths from different countries, regardless of language and gender, to share experiences and forge friendships beyond national borders. It allows representatives from each country to discover, learn and challenge themselves to do better at football while they get new perspectives on the world and life as a whole.
