The all-new BMW 420d Coupe
Following hot on the heels of the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupé which made its public debut at BMW Xpo 2013 in September, BMW is now introducing the all-new BMW 420d Coupe to Thailand. Launched as the fourth generation of BMW’s sporty mid-size Coupe, the all-new BMW 420d Coupe embodies the very essence of aesthetic appeal and dynamics in the premium segment, featuring the latest-generation common rail direct injection technology, turbocharger with variable turbine geometry. With maximum output of 184 hp at 4,000 rpm and peak torque reaching 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) between 1,750 and 2,750 rpm, the all-new BMW 420d Coupe displays an extremely dynamic sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. Average fuel consumption is at 21.7 km/litre, giving a perfect alliance of power and efficiency.
The all-new BMW 420d Coupe will be offered in two variants, the BMW 420d Coupe Sport with 18” alloy wheel and fully equipped with the Sport Line design package, and the BMW 420d Coupe M Sport with M aerodynamic package, M leather steering wheel and BMW Individual high-gloss shadow line and headliner anthracite.
The all-new BMW X5
The BMW X5 once again set the benchmark for powerful design, interior spaciousness, versatility, and driving pleasure. Introducing to the Thai market is the all-new BMW X5 xDrive30d and the all-new BMW X5 sDrive25d. Both models have been designed to optimize the car’s aerodynamic with the latest features of the Air Curtains and Air Breathers and Aero Blades for the rear window.
The all-new BMW X5 xDrive30d comes with the standard BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This particular model is equipped with the six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, incorporates a range of detail refinements that offer even better balance than before between performance and fuel consumption. The 3.0-litre engine, whose BMW TwinPower Turbo technology comprises VNT turbocharging and common rail direct injection, now develops maximum power of 218 hp at 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 560 Newton metres at 1,500-2,000 rpm. The all-new BMW X5 xDrive30d has an average fuel economy at 16.1 km/litre.
The all-new BMW X5 sDrive25d is the most efficient version of the BMW X5 model range. Rather than all-wheel drive, the BMW X5 sDrive25d has rear-wheel drive, deriving weight benefit that gives it such low fuel consumption at 17.9 km/litre and emission levels of 149 g/km. The BMW X5 sDrive25d is equipped with the BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel technology, developing a maximum power of 218 hp at 4,400 rpm and maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,500-2,500 rpm.
For the best economy, the ECO PRO mode can be selected at a push of a button to allow for the most efficiency in engine management and accelerator response. At the same time, ECO PRO mode also programs electrically powered functions like the climate control for extra-efficient energy management.
The all-new BMW 320d Gran Turismo
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo adds an innovative new concept to the successful BMW 3 Series line-up. The third body variant in the current model family combines the Sedan’s dynamic, sporting genes with the practicality and versatility of the Touring, qualities which are backed up by a palpable increase in space and driving comfort.
Generous interior dimensions allow the passengers in every seat of the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo to sit back and enjoy an impressive feeling of space and unbeatable freedom of movement. The front and rear passengers all benefit from a seating position raised by 59 millimetres, which provides an outstanding view out and makes entry and exit significantly more comfortable. Plus, the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo also offers extra headroom. The increase in space will be particularly noticeable in the rear compartment, where a full 70 millimetres of additional legroom over the Sedan and Touring – giving luxury-car levels of spaciousness – is there to be enjoyed.
The new BMW 320d Gran Turismo is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine with maximum output of 184 hp at 4,000 rpm and torque of 380 Nm between 1,750-2,750 rpm – ensure the new BMW 320d Gran Turismo is a stand-out dynamic performer and fits the profile of a sporty GT. The agile diesel asks a mere 7.9 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 20.4 km/litre, and CO2 emissions of 129 g/km, putting the all-new BMW 320d Gran Turismo in low-pollutant territory.
The BMW 328i M Sport
The M Sport package has been developed specifically for this model series, which includes 18 inch M alloy wheels, M aerodynamics package featuring special body parts, BMW Individual high gloss shadow line, M leather steering wheel, and etc.
The BMW 328i M Sport features the BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, which has been honed for even greater fuel economy and lower emissions with no reduction in power output.
With the maximum power of 218 hp at 4,700-6,000 rpm, the BMW 328i M Sport can achieve a 0-100 km/h sprint time in just 6.4 seconds. When necessary, the agile petrol engine will accelerate up to a top speed of 245 km/h.
The BMW X6 M50d
BMW Group Thailand is now launching the BMW M Performance Automobiles for the first time at the Motor Expo 2013. Based on the current BMW models, BMW M GmbH using its vast pool of expertise to arry out carefully targeted technical and design modifications to introduce new breeds of inspirational models with high performance BMW diesel technolgoy. With the most powerful diesel engine BMW has to offer and the typical M optimisation of power transmission, handling properties and aerodynamic balance, the BMW X6 M50d set a new benchmark within their competitive field in terms of sporty flair, concept harmony and efficiency.
The newly developed M Performance TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel engine furnishes the vehicle with remarkable thrust from the word go. This is due in no small part to the three-stage turbocharging process with variable turbine geometry. With its characteristic immediate response, high torque straight from idle, and a wide usable rev range, the BMW X6 M50d unleashes unadulterated dynamics.
The M genes are borne out by performance figures: 740 Nm catapult the BMW X6 M50d from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. This impressive acceleration is accompanied by remarkable efficiency: average fuel consumption is 12.98 km/l with CO2 emissions of 204 g/km. This combination of dynamic ability and fuel efficiency is unique in the BMW X6 vehicle class.
Outstanding powertrain and chassis technology in combination with xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive allow the BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe to display extraordinary poise and assurance.
