เอดีบี ตอกย้ำการเป็นพันธมิตรระยะยาว ลงนามเงินกู้สีเขียวกับ BGRIM รายแรกในภูมิภาค
BGRIM ลงนามเงินกู้สีเขียว (Green Loan) กับ เอดีบี วงเงิน 5,677 ล้านบาท รองรับพัฒนาโครงการโซลาร์ฟาร์มในเวียดนาม นับเป็นเงินกู้สีเขียวรวมกันรายแรกในภูมิภาค ตอกย้ำการเป็นหุ้นส่วนพันธมิตรระยะยาว พร้อมเชื่อมั่นการเติบโตระยะยาวธนาคารพัฒนาแห่งเอเชีย (Asian Development Bank:ADB) และ บริษัท Phu Yen TTP (Phu Yen JSC) ได้ลงนามเงินกู้ 5,677 ล้านบาท เพื่อพัฒนาและดำเนินงานโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ขนาด 257 เมกะวัตต์ ใน ฮว่า ฮอย จังหวัดฟูเอี้ยน ประเทศ เวียดนาม ซึ่งเป็นเงินกู้สีเขียวที่ได้รับการรับรองครั้งแรกของประเทศเวียดนาม ทั้งนี้ Phu Yen JSC ถือหุ้นโดย บริษัท บี.กริม เพาเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) ในสัดส่วนร้อยละ 80 และ Truong Thanh Viet Nam Group Joint Stock Company (TTVN) ในสัดส่วนร้อยละ 20 โดยการจัดหาเงินทุนประกอบด้วยเงินกู้ 27.9 ล้านดอลลาร์จากเอดีบี และ เงินกู้รวม 148.8 ล้านดอลลาร์จาก (เงินกู้ B loan) ที่ได้รับเงินสนับสนุนจากธนาคารพาณิชย์ต่างๆ ประกอบด้วยธนาคารกรุงเทพ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) จากประเทศจีน และธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ รวมไปถึงการจัดสรรเงินกู้ 9.3 ล้านดอลลาร์จาก Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP) ทั้งนี้เงินกู้ดังกล่าวยังได้รับการรับรองจาก Climate Bonds Initiative หรือ CBI ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรอิสระระหว่างประเทศด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม นับเป็นเงินกู้สีเขียวรายแรกในภูมิภาค และเป็นหนึ่งในเงินกู้พลังงานทดแทนที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเวียดนามดร.ฮาราลด์ ลิงค์ ประธาน บริษัท บี.กริม เพาเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ BGRIM เปิดเผยว่า นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งความสำเร็จของบริษัท และรู้สึกยินดีและขอบคุณทางเอดีบี และอีก 5 สถาบันการเงินสำหรับการสนับสนุนเงินกู้สีเขียวของโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ขนาด 257 เมกะวัตต์ ในประเทศเวียดนาม โดยโครงการนี้ได้เปิดจำหน่ายไฟฟ้าเชิงพาณิชย์ (COD) ให้แก่ Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้วและเริ่มรับรู้รายได้ภายใต้สัญญาการรับซื้อไฟฟ้าในอัตรา Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) ที่ 9.35 เซ็นดอลลาร์สหรัฐต่อกิโลวัตต์ชั่วโมง เป็นระยะเวลา 20 ปี ซี่งถือเป็นโครงการสำคัญอย่างยิ่งในการกระตุ้นการใช้พลังงานทดแทนในประเทศเวียดนาม รวมทั้งกระตุ้นการเจริญเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจให้กับประเทศเวียดนามอีกด้วยนางปรียนาถ สุนทรวาทะ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท บี.กริม เพาเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวเสริมว่า เป็นอีกครั้งที่ทางบริษัทได้บุกเบิกนวัตกรรมทางการเงินรูปแบบใหม่ให้เกิดขึ้นที่เน้นเรื่องการการพัฒนาพลังงานสะอาด ซึ่งครั้งแรกคือพันธบัตรสีเขียว (Green Bond) ตัวแรกในประเทศไทย และครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการนำแนวทางปฎิบัติที่ดีที่สุดในระดับสากลมาประยุกต์ใช้การทำธุรกรรมเงินกู้สีเขียว (Green Loan) เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาพลังงานอย่างยั่งยืนในเวียดนาม และช่วยส่งเสริมให้เกิดตลาดเงินกู้สีเขียวในภูมิภาค อีกทั้งการทำธุรกรรมสีเขียวนี้ เป็นไปตามนโยบายความยั่งยืนในการดำเนินธุรกิจของทางบริษัทตามมาตรฐานสากลอีกด้วยด้าน นายแจ็คกี้ บี. ซูตานิ ผู้อำนวยการแผนกการเงินโครงสร้างพื้นฐานในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และแปซิฟิก สำนักปฎิบัติการภาคเอกชนของเอดีบี กล่าวว่า เอดีบีมุ่งมั่นและยืนยันที่จะสนับสนุน บี. กริม ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในหุ้นส่วนพันธมิตรและคู่ค้าที่สำคัญที่สุดที่ได้ขยายธุรกิจไปสู่เวียดนามในระยะยาวและการพัฒนาธุรกิจทางด้านพลังงานทดแทน และยังรู้สึกตื่นเต้นที่ได้ร่วมงานกับ TTVN เป็นครั้งแรก โครงการนี้จะสนับสนุนการพัฒนากำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ในเวียดนามให้ก้าวไปข้างหน้าอย่างรวดเร็วเพื่อเป้าหมายสู่สังคมคาร์บอนต่ำของประเทศ และหวังว่าจะเป็นการกระตุ้นให้ธนาคารพาณิชย์สนับสนุนเงินทุนสำหรับโครงการพลังงานหมุนเวียนได้เพิ่มมากยิ่งขึ้น โครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์นี้เป็นโครงการที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในเวียดนาม และเป็นหนึ่งในโรงไฟฟ้าที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ซึ่งจะช่วยลดคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ได้ถึง 123,000 ตันต่อปี และโรงไฟฟ้าจะรองรับความต้องการไฟฟ้าของเมือง กว๋างหงาย และญาจาง รวมทั้งพื้นที่โดยรอบในภูมิภาคซึ่งนับเป็นศูนย์กลางการท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งของเวียดนาม
ADB, BGRIM reaffirm long-term partnership with green loan for VN’s largest solar venture
B.Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM), Thailand’s leading industrial power producer, has signed a US$186 million syndicated loan with a group of lenders including Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the single largest solar farm project in Vietnam.The syndicated financing for the 257-megawatt (MW) solar power scheme in Phu Yen Province represents the first green loan in Asia and the Pacific to be certified by the Climate Bonds Initiative, part of an independent global environmental movement.The financing has in particular further cemented the long-term partnership between BGRIM and ADB which is one of the major financiers of the Phu Yen scheme.
It also underscores ADB's confidence in the growth potential of BGRIM as an emerging major private power investor in Southeast Asia.
ADB has extended a $27.9 million to Phu Yen TTP Joint Stock Company (Phu Yen JSC), the sponsor of the solar power project in which BGRIM has a 80% stake and Truong Thanh Viet Nam Group Joint Stock Company (TTVN) holding a 20% interest.
The other lender is the Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP) which contributed a $9.3 million financing.
The Phu Yen financing has so far become one of the largest such loans yet mobilised in Vietnam.
BGRIM Chairman Harald Link said the loan accord marks another successful milestone of the company which is pleased and grateful to all lenders for the financial supports.

The Phu Yen project serves as a catalyst to promote the use of renewable energy in the socialist republic as well as driving the country's economic growth, Dr Link stated.Preeyanart Soontornwata, Chief Executive Officer of BGRIM, said the green loan showed that the company has once again pioneered a new form of financial innovation that focuses on the development of clean energy.
BGRIM earlier launched Thailand's first green bond issue in association with ADB.
The green loan which was concluded this time reflects BGRIM’s adoption of the best global practice to support sustainable energy development in Vietnam.
Yet it helps fostering a green loan market and promoting green transactions which are in line with BGRIM's sustainability policy in conducting business according to international standards, she noted

We’re also excited to work for the first time with TTVN.
This project will support the rapid development of solar power capacity in Viet Nam, advance the country’s low-carbon growth goals, and, we hope, catalyze further commercial bank financing for renewable energy.”
The Phu Yen solar energy project is the largest in Vietnam and one of the largest power plants in Southeast Asia.
The facility will save 123,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year and the power plant will support the electricity needs of Quang Ngai and Nha Trang as well as the surrounding areas in the region, one of Vietnam's major tourism hubs.
