กรุงเทพฯ 13 กันยายน 2561 - Hospital Management Asia (HMA) 2018 งานสัมมนาแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดและข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนารูปแบบธุรกิจนวัตกรรมทางเทคโนโลยีและการปรับปรุงการจัดการระบบการดูแลสุขภาพ เป็นช่วงเวลาสำคัญที่ผู้บริหารโรงพยาบาลและผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสุขภาพจากทั่วภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกมารวมตัวกัน ณ ประเทศไทย

หัวข้อการพูดคุยใน HMA 2018 นั้นจะประกอบไปด้วย 5 หัวข้อ โดยที่มีทั้งหัวข้อเฉพาะสำหรับระดับผู้บริหารโรงพบาบาลเอกชนในการหารือเกี่ยวกับความยั่งยืนทางการเงินผ่านการลงทุนผล รวมถึงกระทบของนโยบายสาธารณะสำหรับการให้บริการโรงพยาบาลและวิธีการจัดการกับความท้าทายในการดำเนินการตามค่าการดูแล ยังรวมถึงหัวข้อการสัมมนาอื่นๆ ได้แก่ ความปลอดภัย, คุณภาพและการรับรองระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยและการมีส่วนร่วม, การจัดการบุคลากรในธุรกิจสุขภาพ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเทคโนโลยีในยุค Healthcare 4.0

นพ.พงษ์พัฒน์ ปธานวนิช ประธานกรรมการที่ปรึกษาการจัดงาน HMA และประธานสมาคมโรงพยาบาลเอกชนแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า “ปัจจุบันประเทศไทยกำลังเดินหน้าเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุ การมีประชากรสูงอายุมากกว่าอัตราการเกิดนี้ส่งสัญญาณในเรื่องของการดูแลสุขภาพที่สูงขึ้นตามมาด้วย และที่มากไปกว่าเรื่องของการสาธารณสุขก็คือสภาพแวดล้อมทั้งหลายที่ต้องเตรียมพร้อมในการสร้างและดูแลสังคมผู้สูงอายุในประเทศไทย”

“HMA 2018 จะเป็นเวทีที่สำคัญโดยเฉพาะกับบุคลากรในธุรกิจการแพทย์ภาคเอกชน ได้เข้ามาศึกษาหาความรู้ใหม่ๆ ทั้งในด้านของเทคโนโลยี องค์ความรู้ในการจัดการทั้งในแง่ของการฏระเบียบใหม่ๆ รวมไปถึงได้เรียนรู้และได้เห็นอนาคตของวงการธุรกิจโรงพยาบาลในอนาคตว่าจะมีโฉมหน้าไปอย่างไร อย่างเช่น โรงพยาบาลยุค 4.0 ที่ทุกอย่างกำลังเปลี่ยนไปสู่รูปแบบการทำงานแบบดิจิทัล ซึ่งวันนี้หลายโรงพยาบาลเอกชนในประเทศไทยกำลังเริ่มเดินหน้าไปแต่ก็ยังมีอีกหลายส่วนที่ต้องทำให้สมบูรณ์”
“ที่สำคัญที่สุดใน HMA 2018 ที่กรุงเทพครั้งนี้ก็คือ เวทีที่รวมกันของบรรดาผู้บริหารโรงพยาบาลเอกชนในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิค ในการร่วมกันเพื่อหารือและแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ รวมถึงหัวข้อเสวนาต่างๆ ในเรื่องของการบริหารและจัดการในธุรกิจโรงพยาบาลยุคใหม่ เช่น การบริหารต้นทุนในการนำเอาเทคโนโลยียุคใหม่มาใช้เพราะการนำเอาเทคโนโลยีที่ดีและทันสมัยที่สุดไม่ได้บอกถึงระดับความสามารถที่แท้จริงในการให้การรักษาพยาบาลกับตนไข้ แต่การเลือกสิ่งที่ดีและเหมาะสมกับต้นทุนและค่าดำเนินการต่างหากจะส่งผลที่ดีต่อทั้งธุรกิจและคนไข้ เพราะสิ่งเหล่านี้จะสะท้อนกลับไปที่ต้นทุนของโรงพยาบาลและส่งผลไปถึงค่าใช้จ่ายที่เกิดขึ้นกับคนไข้โดยตรง”

นพ.พงษ์พัฒน์  เสริมถึงเนื้อหาในหัวข้อการสัมมนา HMA 2018 ครั้งนี้ว่า “หนึ่งในหัวข้อที่น่าสนใจและเป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่วงการสาธารณสุขในประเทศไทยนั้นควรจะเริ่มศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ นั่นก็คือแนวคิดที่เรียกว่า Integrated Care หรือการดูแลในแบบองค์รวมที่ไม่ได้มองโรคที่คนไข้หรือผู้เข้าทำการรักษาแยกแต่ละโรคและแบ่งความรับผิดชอบของหมอแต่ละคน หากแต่ว่าจะมีการหาหมอหรือเจ้าหน้าที่การแพทย์ที่เป็นเหมือนเจ้าภาพและมีการร่วมให้ความเห็นในการรักษาหรือการให้ยาแต่ละอย่างกับคนไข้ เพราะในทุกการลงมือหรือการให้ยาใดก็ตามแม้จะสามารถรักษาอาการบางอย่างได้ แต่ก็สามารถสร้างปัญหาหรืออาการข้างเคียงให้กับระบบภายในร่างกายได้เช่นเดียวกัน”

“HMA 2018 ถือเป็นพื้นที่ที่อยากให้ทุกคนในวงการสาธารณสุขของไทยได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วม เอาเฉพาะแค่ว่าได้เข้ามาเห็นถึงแนวคิดของการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปสู่ Healthcare 4.0 ตามนโยบาย ประเทศไทย 4.0 ของรัฐบาลนี้ก็ถือว่าคุ้มค่าสำหรับระดับบุคคลากรทั่วไปแล้ว ส่วนระดับผู้บริหารองค์กรทางด้านการแพทย์นั้นยิ่งจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่จะเข้ามาได้เรียนรู้วิธีการและแนวคิดในการพัฒนาองค์กรไปสู่ระดับสากล เพื่อเป็นการยกระดับมาตรฐานให้แวดวงสาธารณสุขของไทยให้ดีขึ้น ยังผลไปสู่การทำให้ประชาชนชาวไทยนั้นมีสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้นในอนาคต ซึ่งธุรกิจโรงพยาบาลจะไม่ได้เป็นแค่ที่รักษาอาการป่วยอีกต่อไปแต่จะกลายเป็นสถานที่ในการดูแลทางด้านสุขภาพที่ดี ถือว่าเป็นแนวทางในการต่อยอดธุรกิจในอนาคตที่สดใสยิ่งกว่าปัจจุบัน”

ริชาร์ด ไอร์แลนด์ กรรมการผู้จัดการ ของ Clarion Events ในฐานะรับหน้าที่ดูแลการจัดงานให้ความเห็นว่า “HMA 2018 เป็นการจัดงานครั้งที่ 17 ซึ่งจะสะท้อนให้วงการสาธารณสุขในภูมิภาคนี้ได้เห็นว่า Healthcare 4.0 เป็นเรื่องที่มีความสำคัญมากสำหรับวงการธุรกิจโรงพยาบาล เพราะมันเป็นตัวผลักดันให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปสู่โลกของดิจิทัลให้กับการจัดเก็บข้อมูลทางการแพทย์ ซึ่งหมายถึงส่งผลไปสู่ความปลอดภัยให้กับตัวคนไข้และทำให้สถานพยาบาลต่างๆ นั้นสามารถดำเนินงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สำหรับประเทศไทยนั้นหลังจากที่รัฐบาลประกาศเรื่องของนโยบาย ประเทศไทย 4.0 ทำให้ภาคธุรกิจสถานพยาบาลนั้นก็เป็นอีกสาขาหนึ่งที่กำลังปรับตัวไปสู่ยุค 4.0 เช่นเดียวกัน ด้วยการปรับกระบวนการทำงานต่างๆ ไปสู่ดิจิทัล ซึ่งเป็นเหมือนกับอีกหลายประเทศที่กำลังเดินหน้าไปสู่จุดหมายเดียวกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น สิงคโปร์หรือฮ่องกง”

“สำหรับในแง่ของเทคโนโลยีก็เป็นอีกปัจจัยหนึ่งที่กำลังเข้ามามีส่วนสำคัญ และดูเหมือนว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้กำลังพัฒนาและเติบโตไปอย่างรวดเร็ว การเกิดขึ้นของเทคโนโลยีอย่าง ปัญญาประดิษฐ์หรือการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงลึก เหล่านี้ล้วนมีส่วนเข้ามาสร้างผลกระทบอย่างมากกับธุรกิจด้านสุขภาพ หากมองกันแบบในระดับเบื้องต้นอาจจะเห็นว่าสิ่งนี้จะทำให้เรื่องของการเก็บข้อมูลและประเมินตัวข้อมูลได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งการมีข้อมูลที่ดีขึ้นนั้นจะสามารถช่วยให้แพทย์สามารถวิเคราะห์อาการป่วยของคนไข้ได้ถูกต้องและรวดเร็วกว่า แต่สิ่งที่สำคัญไปกว่านั้นวันนี้เรามองเห็นแล้วว่า ปัญญาประดิษฐ์หรือการมีเทคโนโลยีในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล
เชิงลึกนั้น สามารถเข้ามาช่วยวงการแพทย์ในเรื่องการวิเคราะห์โรคบังเกิดใหม่ได้เร็วขึ้น รวมถึงการค้นหาสาเหตุและวิธีการรักษาในโรคที่มนุษยชาตินั้นต้องต่อสู้มาเป็นเวลานาน เหล่านี้ล้วนจะเข้ามาทำให้โลกของวงการแพทย์นั้นช่วยให้มนุษย์นั้นมีอายุที่ยืนยาวมากขึ้น”

“แต่อีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่เราต้องระมัดระวังไว้ก็คือเมื่อทุกอย่างกลายเป็นข้อมูลแบบดิจิทัลแล้ว ยิ่งต้องระมัดระวังในแง่มุมของความปลอดภัยในเรื่องของการรั่วไหลในตัวข้อมูลของคนไข้ไปสู่สาธารณะ ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าสิ่งนี้เป็นเรื่องในแง่ทางเทคโนโลยีแต่ทุกๆ คนในธุรกิจนี้จำเป็นต้องเรียนรู้และให้ความสำคัญกับมันเป็นอย่างยิ่งไม่แพ้การมองหาแนวทางใหม่ๆ สำหรับการรักษาหรือบริหารธุรกิจให้มีประสิทธิภาพบนต้นทุนที่เหมาะสม ซึ่งใน HMA 2018 จะเป็นเวทีสำคัญที่ทุกคนในวงการการแพทย์และโรงพยาบาลนั้นจะได้เข้ามาเรียนรู้” ริชชาร์ด เสริม

Asia’s Largest Seminar HMA 2018 Held in Thailand Under the Theme “Technology, Transformation and Cost Management”




The seminar addresses key factors to enable hospital business move towards a new healthcare 4.0 as well as delivers knowledge and understanding on cost management with the adoption of new technologies to achieve the most efficiency.

Bangkok – Sept 13, 2018 – Hospital Management Asia (HMA) 2018, the Asia’s largest healthcare seminar which is being held in Thailand during Sept 13-14, 2018, is a major event to gather top-level hospital executives and healthcare professionals across Asia Pacific to Thailand to share and exchange experiences and in-depth knowledge towards the development of new innovation for hospital business as well as the improvement of  healthcare system management.

Five key topics are to be discussed in the seminar including topic related to financial sustainability through investment; and the impact of public policy on hospital services and how to address the challenge of implementing cost-of-care. Other interesting topics are safety, quality and accreditation for services offered by the hospitals; patient care and engagement; talent management; and healthcare 4.0.

Participants will acknowledge the latest healthcare technology, cost management, and patient safety so as to optimize and improve patient health outcomes. Moreover, they will have a chance to learn about healthcare 4.0, hospital investment, healthcare management across Asia region, and ways to address the lack of human resources in healthcare industry.

Dr. Pongpat Patanavanich, the President of the Private Hospital Association of Thailand as advisory chairman of HMA 2018, said pacing into a new aging society is now alerting Thailand to concern on healthcare system. Not only does the country focus on merely public health, it also have to prepare related and proper environments to take care of elderly people which are steadily increasing in the country.

“HMA 2018 is an important event that healthcare professionals and executives can discover new knowledge not only in technology side but also in hospital management and new regulation development aspects. From the seminar, they can envision the future of hospital business which is moving towards a new healthcare 4.0 era and realize the importance of digital transformation. Even though many private hospitals in Thailand are following such a trend, they still have many parts needed to complete,” Dr. Pongpat said.

Importantly, HMA 2018 in Bangkok has gathered top executives from hospitals in Asia Pacific region to discuss and share experiences towards hospital business management in a new era and the adoption of new technology for cost management.

The seminar, he said, will address ways to select proper technologies for the hospital's investment as the best and latest technologies available in the market could not guarantee a real ability in providing good-standard medical and healthcare services to the patients. If hospitals choose to invest on unreasonable technologies, it will directly impact the hospital’s operation cost and then reflect to the patient’s expenses.

Dr. Pongpat also points to the so-called “Integrated Care” concept that public health circles in Thailand should concern on and begin to study the possibility for further implementation.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), integrated care is a model to bring together inputs, delivery, management and organization of services related to diagnosis, treatment, care, rehabilitation and health promotion. Integration is a means to improve services in relation to access, quality, user satisfaction and efficiency.

The concept is a worldwide trend in health care reforms and new organizational arrangements focusing on more coordinated and integrated forms of care provision. Integrated care may be seen as a response to the fragmented delivery of health and social services being an acknowledged problem in many health systems.

“We aims to use HMA 2018 as a stage for healthcare professionals in Thailand to participate and realize the transformation towards the healthcare 4.0 in accordance with the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy. Meanwhile, hospital and medical executives can learn and acknowledge principles and methods to develop and improve their organizations to achieve international standard and leverage medical and healthcare service provision to the people,” he said.

He added that hospital business in the future will no longer provide merely medical treatments, but it will become healthcare center to offer a full range of healthcare services.

Richard Ireland, the Managing Director of Clarion Event Asia as the HMA 2018 organizer, said the 17th hospital management seminar this year emphasizes the importance of healthcare 4.0 for hospital business. It’s seen that the advent of healthcare 4.0 will be a driving force to push hospitals towards digital transformation, leveraging the hospitals’ operations to be more efficient, improving patient safety and providing better healthcare services.

In accordance with the Thai government’s Thailand 4.0 policy, Richard added that hospital business in Thailand has to adjust itself to cope up with the new 4.0 era. In other countries including Singapore and Hong Kong, their hospital business is also moving into the same destination as healthcare 4.0 is the worldwide trend.

In Richard’s view, technologies such as artificial intelligence and in-depth data analytics are coming to play an important role in healthcare business and they’re giving a big impact to the industry.

“Fundamentally, technology allows hospitals to make better data management and this will assist doctors to diagnose the patients’ symptoms with more accuracy. But more importantly, the development of AI and in-depth data analytics will enable medical circles to analyse new emerging diseases much faster while discover the diseases’ sources and offer better medical treatments to the patients. All these definitely will bring to an ultimate goal of making people to have longer life,” Richard said.

However, when everything goes digital, data security is a major issue that healthcare industry has to concern on the ways to protect patients’ personal data. Richard said HMA 2018 is a stage where people in medical circles and hospital business can learn and share ideas and experiences on all related healthcare issues.
