คืนความอุดมสมบูรณ์ให้ทะเลไทย ส่งเสริมชุมชนประมงเข้มแข็ง

                     เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ (23 มิถุนายน 2561) เอสซีจี นำทีมโดย นายปรีชา อรรถวิภัชน์ กรรมการ บริษัทปูนซีเมนต์ไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (ที่ 6 จากซ้าย) และนายชลณัฐ ญาณารณพ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธุรกิจเคมิคอลส์ เอสซีจี (ที่ 5 จากขวา) ร่วมกับ นายธีรวัฒน์ สุดสุข (ที่ 6 จากขวา) รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระยอง ประธานในพิธี และนายภุชงค์ สฤษฎีชัยกุล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่งที่ 1 (ที่ 5 จากซ้าย) และนายไมตรี รอดพ้น ประธานวิสาหกิจชุมชนชมรมประมงเรือเล็กพื้นบ้าน อ.เมือง และ อ.บ้านฉางสามัคคี (ที่ 4 จากขวา) ร่วมพิธีเปิดงาน “รักษ์น้ำ จากภูผา สู่มหานที... จิตอาสาสร้างบ้านปลาเอสซีจี” ณ สวนสาธารณะแหลมเจริญ จังหวัดระยอง ภายในงานมีตัวแทนกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้าน จ.ระยอง และจิตอาสาจากทั่วประเทศกว่า 900 คน ร่วมสร้างบ้านปลาจากท่อ PE100 ที่เหลือจากการขึ้นรูปสำหรับทดสอบเม็ดพลาสติกภายในโรงงาน โดยบ้านปลาทั้งหมดกว่า 50 หลัง จะถูกนำไปวางใต้ทะเลบริเวณใกล้ชายฝั่งเพื่อเพิ่มพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรและเป็นแหล่งอนุบาลสัตว์น้ำวัยอ่อน ซึ่งความอุดมสมบูรณ์ทางทะเลที่ได้กลับคืนมาจากการวางบ้านปลาจะช่วยส่งเสริมให้กลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านสามารถเลี้ยงชีพและพึ่งพาตนเองได้อย่างยั่งยืน

                     นับตั้งแต่ปี 2555 จนถึงปัจจุบัน เอสซีจี ได้ร่วมกับ กลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้าน และสำนักงานบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง วางบ้านปลาไปแล้วทั้งสิ้น 1,400 หลัง สามารถสร้างพื้นที่อนุรักษ์กว่า 35 ตารางกิโลเมตร ในบริเวณชายฝั่งจังหวัดระยอง ชลบุรี และจันทบุรี พร้อมสนับสนุนการสร้างเครือข่ายกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านที่เข้มแข็งและตั้งเป้าหมายที่จะขยายโครงการให้ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ชายฝั่งทะเลตะวันออกอย่างต่อเนื่อง

                    SCG, led by Mr. Pricha Attavipach (6th left), Director, The Siam Cement Group, Public Company Limited and Mr. Cholanat Yanaranop (5th right), President, Chemicals Business, SCG, together with Rayong’s Deputy Governor Mr. Teerawat Sudsook (6th right), and Mr.Puchong Saritdeechaikul (5th left), Director of Marine and Coastal Resources Conservation Centre 1, and Mr. Maitree Rodpon (4th right), President of Fisher Folk Community Enterprise of Mueang District and Baan Chang Samakkee District attended the opening ceremony of “Conserving Water from the Mountains to the Mighty Rivers… Volunteer Building SCG Fish Home” at Laem Charoen Public Park, Rayong, on June 23, 2018. The event was joined by over 900 attendees from fisher folk groups in Rayong and public volunteers nationwide who gathered to build artificial fish homes made from unused PE100 pipe leftover from SCG’s manufacturing tests for polyethylene moulding. All 50 fish homes will be placed on the sea grounds to serve as marine nursery habitats  and increasing marine population along with restoring coastal marine ecosystems. Furthermore, the initiative also aims to improve living conditions and foster local fisher folk empowerment..

                    Since 2012, SCG in collaboration with local fishery groups and Office of Marine and Coastal Resources Management has already placed a total of 1,400 fish homes, covering up to 35 square meters of coastal conservation area in Rayong, Chonburi and Chanthaburi provinces where participated fisher folk groups have joined force to protect the coastal resources in harmony. SCG has continued to support the local fishing communities to strengthen their network and targeted to contribute more fish homes throughout the eastern coastal region in the future.
