   นายพงษ์ภาณุ เศวตรุนทร์ ปลัดกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา กล่าวย้ำ ถึงมาตรการความปลอดภัยช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ และเป็นช่วงที่มีสถิติการเกิดอุบัติเหตุบนท้องถนนเป็นจำนวนมาก ดังนั้น ได้มอบหมายให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ กองบังคับการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ศูนย์ช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยว ให้ดูแล ช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวอย่างเต็มที่ช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์

   นายพงษ์ภาณุ กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา มีหน่วยงานที่ดูแลรับผิดชอบให้การช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวโดยเฉพาะซึ่งมีอยู่ทั่วประเทศ คือ “ศูนย์แก้ไขปัญหาการหลอกลวงและช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยว (Tourist Assistance Center : TAC)” จัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2555 มีทั้งหมด 16 ศูนย์ฯ ใน 15 จังหวัดและกรุงเทพฯ รวมเจ้าหน้าที่ 191 คน อยู่ภายใต้การบริหารจัดการของกองมาตรฐานและกำกับความปลอดภัยนักท่องเที่ยว ทำหน้าที่อำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักท่องเที่ยวด้านต่างๆ เช่น ให้คำแนะนำด้านการท่องเที่ยวและการป้องกันภัยจากการท่องเที่ยว รับเรื่องร้องเรียน ร้องทุกข์ และประสานกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการให้ความช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ แต่ละศูนย์มีเจ้าหน้าที่สามารถสื่อสารได้หลายภาษาอยู่ประจำทุกศูนย์ ได้แก่ ภาษาอังกฤษ รัสเซีย เกาหลี ญี่ปุ่น จีน ฝรั่งเศส สเปน ลาว เป็นต้น และจากสถิติในการให้ความช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยว ของศูนย์แก้ไขปัญหาการหลอกลวงและช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยว ระหว่างเดือนมกราคม-ธันวาคม 2559 มีจำนวน 3,507 ราย อาทิ การให้เงินช่วยเหลือ, ไกล่เกลี่ย, ติดตามคนหาย/ของหาย,ล่ามและให้คำปรึกษาทั่วไป

   กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา มีโครงการ “ขับขี่ปลอดภัย สงกรานต์ทั่วไป” ตามโครงการกิจกรรมรณรงค์นักท่องเที่ยวขับขี่ปลอดภัยในเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ปี 2560 เพื่อเป็นการกระตุ้นให้นักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติเกิดความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับกฎหมายจราจร โดยได้ดำเนินการในแหล่งท่องเที่ยวสำคัญ   และขอย้ำนักท่องเที่ยวเช็คให้ชัวร์ก่อนซื้อทัวร์ ซึ่งกระทรวงฯ ได้ประชาสัมพันธ์ไปล่วงหน้าแล้วว่า 874 บริษัทที่ถูกเพิกถอนใบอนุญาต สามารถตรวจสอบได้ที่ www.tourism.go.th หรือ Call Center 0 2401 1111” หากต้องการความช่วยเหลือสามารถโทรสายด่วนของกองบังคับกาตำรวจท่องเที่ยว Call Center 1155 และสามารถโทรศัพท์ได้ทุกศูนย์ ซึ่งมีประจำอยู่ทั่วทุกจังหวัดในแหล่งท่องเที่ยวหลักของประเทศไทย ได้แก่

Mr. Pongpanu assures that MOTs is ready take care of both domestic and international tourists during Songkran’s festival 2017







Mr. Pongpanu Svetarundra, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTs) highlighted the safety and security measures during the Songkran’s festival that there usually are numerous road accidents during this festival; therefore, he assigned related organisations and departments namely, Tourist Police Division and Tourist’s Friend Centre, to fully take care of the tourists during the Songkran’s festival

The Permanent Secretary of MOTs added that the Ministry has the department in charge of helping tourists all over the country which is “Tourist Assistance Centre: TAC,” founded in 2012. There are 16 TACs in 15 provinces and in Bangkok which include 191 officers on duty under the administration of Bureau of Tourism Safety Standard. The Bureau of Tourism Safety Standard has its role to facilitate tourists in several aspects e.g. counseling on tourism, preventing dangers and harms in tourism, receiving complaints and emergent requests, and cooperate with related organisations to provide assistance to Thai and foreign tourists. TAC also has the officers who can communicate in many languages which are English, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish and Laos, etc. on duty in every TAC centre. For the statistics of tourists’ assistance from TAC from January to December 2016, there were 3,507 tourists receiving help in many aspects i.e. receiving money, mediation, lost and found (person and belongings), interpreter and consulter providing in general issues.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports also launches the campaign “Safe Drive” in Songkran’s Festival to guide the tourists to drive carefully in the water festival in 2017 in order to call for actions from Thai and foreign tourists to know, realize and understand traffic regulations better. This campaingn is implemented in the main tourist attractions in Thailand. Moreover, the Ministry may wish to highlight that the tourists should carefully check information and make sure with everything before purchasing any tour package. The Ministry has already announced that there are 874 companies with their licenses terminated, and the tourists can check out at www.tourism.go.th or call centre  02 401 1111. If the tourists should require emergency assistance, they can give a call to the Tourist Police Dividion at 1155 or the Police Tourist Centre around the country in the main tourist attractions, which are available at:
