With its catering and hospitality industry constant growth potential, HPT launches its new business, Central Hospitality, introducing kitchen utensil and kitchen appliances from world class brands to the Thai market, after having a business alliance from New Zealand to help with the marketing. HPT is confident to receive good responses and expects to get the first year’s sales volume of THB 60 million. It also plans to fully increase its local distribution channels and expands its markets to other key major cities and AEC. Mr. Niran Chourkittisopon, Managing Director of Home Pottery Public Company Limited, said the industry outlook of catering and hospitality in Thailand and ASEAN has continuously grown due to the rising of the tourist numbers, leading to strategic changes of hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs, such as increasing hotel numbers, to meet the expansion. The factor is a good opportunity to expand HPT’s business to serve the need of various products.
HPT has joined with a business partner from New Zealand to establish Central Hospitality Co., Ltd. to supply food service industry, 3-5 star hotel and restaurant products with its shareholding of 75% and the partner’s shareholding of 25% of the THB 40 million authorized capital. The joint venture is a part of the objectives of raising fund.
“Central Hospitality is a new business of HPT which strengthens HPT’s efficiency to enter the AEC market. The first showroom is in Bangkok. It is the center of various hospitality supply equipment and products which provides the perception of one-stop service of kitchen utensil and kitchen appliances for food service industry, hotel and restaurants. When you want to open a restaurant, you will think of Central Hospitality”, said Mr. Niran.

He said with its experiences of more than 30 years in hotel, restaurant, and hospital product distribution, together with more than 18 showrooms in New Zealand and Australia. He views the business opportunity and the potential growth of the markets in Thailand and the AEC countries where the utilization increasingly grows.
Central Hospitality will initially achieve its market in Bangkok and expand its markets to major key cities, and in the future will enter the AEC markets such as Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia, and Singapore. It is expected that after Central Hospitality’s official launch, it will receive a good response from hotel and restaurant clients, definitely leading to the increase of the sales volume.
Ms.Nijawan Chourkittisopon, Marketing Manager of HPT said the products of Central Hospitality are the premium grade from local and international leading brands which are widely accepted of their quality. The products are divided into 24 groups of more than 5,000 items such as Tabletop ,Cutlery, Displayware, Glass and Drinkware, cooking equipment, knife, spoon, fork, glass, oven, food display, etc. which cover all kinds of products and utilization for food service industry.
There are 6 distribution channels: 1. Sale Representative 2. Website order 3. Call Center order 4. Fax order 5. E-Mail order and 6. Cash & Carry.Its initial plan is to focus on the marketing with the entrepreneurs in Bangkok and the promoting of the products. The sales volume in the first year is targeted to reach THB 60 million and expected to increasingly grow in following years.
