26 สิงหาคม 2559 – ดีแทค แอคเซอเลอเรท โครงการบ่มเพาะสตาร์ทอัพเบอร์ 1 ของไทย ร่วมงานสตาร์ทอัพและดิจิทัล ไทยแลนด์ (Startup Thailand & Digital Thailand) จัดโดยกระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี กระทรวงเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร ที่จ.ขอนแก่น งานแสดงนิทรรศการ การให้ความรู้และคำปรึกษาสำหรับผู้ที่สนใจเป็นสตาร์ทอัพมือใหม่ เครือข่ายสตาร์ทอัพ (Startup networking) และกิจกรรมอีกมากหมาย ภายใต้แนวคิด Mekong Connect เชื่อมโยงลุ่มน้ำโขง พร้อมยกทีมสตาร์ทอัพเทคมีทัวร์(Take Me Tour) มาแชร์ประสบการณ์และให้ความรู้ในการเริ่มต้นเข้าสู่เส้นทางการเป็นสตาร์ทอัพ นักรบเศรษฐกิจพันธุ์ใหม่ เพื่อสร้างแรงบันดาลใจและช่วยกระตุ้น สร้างผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ ที่มีการประยุกต์ใช้วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม มาเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนสามารถเติบโตได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ให้ธุรกิจประเทศไทยเข้าสู่ไทยแลนด์ 4.0 ได้อย่างยั่งยืน

จากข้อมูลขอนแก่นลิงค์ ระบุว่า ขอนแก่นมีศักยภาพในการพัฒนาเป็นศูนย์กลางในหลายๆด้าน ในภาคอีสานอาทิ ศูนย์กลางทางการแพทย์ จากการมีหน่วยงานทางการแพทย์ขนาดใหญ่ที่มีชื่อเสียงและมีคุณภาพของภาครัฐ ศูนย์กลางทางการศึกษา จังหวัดขอนแก่นมีสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของรัฐ และเอกชนจำนวน โดยมี สถาบันอุดมศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพระดับประเทศ ซึ่งมีความพร้อมด้านบุคลากรทางการศึกษาและสถานที่ ศูนย์กลางทางการขนส่งและโลจิสติกส์ จากความพร้อมด้านทำเลที่ตั้งและการคมนาคมขนส่ง ส่งผลให้จังหวัด ขอนแก่นมีศักยภาพในการเป็นศูนย์กลางในการกระจายสินค้าระดับภูมิภาค ศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมสีเขียว โดยการจัดตั้งนิคมฯ จะดึงดูดนักลงทุนให้เข้ามาลงทุนด้านอุตสาหกรรมในจังหวัดมากขึ้น ศูนย์กลางการประชุมและการท่องเที่ยว ที่ผ่านมาจังหวัดขอนแก่นมีการจัดการประชุมและการสัมมนาทั้งใน ระดับประเทศและระดับนานาชาติจำนวนมาก เนื่องจากมีสถานที่จัดและสถานประกอบการธุรกิจโรงแรมจำนวนมาก

สำหรับดีแทค แอคเซอเลอเรท ก็ได้ตระหนักถึงความตื่นตัวของสตาร์ทอัพในท้องถิ่น และเป็นภาคเอกชนที่พร้อมจะช่วยกันขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทย สร้างนักรบเศรษฐกิจพันธุ์ใหม่ โดยที่ผ่านมากิจกรรม ดีแทค แอคเซอเลอเรท และผองเพื่อนโรดโชว์ มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่ช่วยสร้างสตาร์ทอัพในท้องถิ่น  เพื่อค้นหาสตาร์ทอัพช้างเผือก ที่มีบุคลิกหรือคุณลักษณะในการเป็นสตาร์ทอัพ ทั้งความปรารถนาอันแรงกล้า หรือ passion ความต้องการแก้ปัญหาให้กับคนหมู่มากในสังคม และประเทศชาติ มีสินค้าและบิสิเนสโมเดล ที่เป็นที่ต้องการของตลาด หรือตอบโจทย์เพนพ้อยท์ของตลาดได้

dtac accelerate joins Startup Digital & Digital Thailand in Khon Kaen to help develop new startups under the Mekong Connect project

August 26, 2016 – Thailand's leading startup incubation program, dtac accelerate, takes part in the Startup Thailand & Digital Thailand event, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in Khon Kaen. The event includes exhibitions, seminars, mentoring sessions for people with startup inspiration, startup networking, and other activities as part of the Mekong Connect project. dtac alumni "Take Me Tour" shares experience and knowledge on their startup journey to inspire, encourage, and develop new entrepreneurs applying science, technology, and innovation to help drive the country toward Thailand 4.0 and achieve sustainable development.
 
According to Khon Kaen Link, Khon Kaen has the potential to become the Northeast regional hub in many areas, such as medical hub with its large and reputable public medical institutes; education hub with both public and private universities with national reputations; transportation and logistics hub due to its geographical location making it an ideal regional distribution center. Khon Kaen is also recognized as a center for green industrial estates that attract investment to the region. Khon Kaen has a large number of hotels that have the capability to host both domestic and international conferences and seminars, positioning it as a conference and tourism hub.

Mr. Sompoat Chansomboon, Director of Business Innovation and dtac accelerate, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, said, "dtac has organized dtac accelerate and Friends Roadshows in Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, and Phuket, which have seen the rising awareness and participation from the public. The events were supported by several Provincial Chambers of Commerce and universities that play vital roles in using technology to create new innovations and by government agencies that organize startup development programs to drive SME's to achieve sustainable growth, as part of the government's Thailand 4.0 strategy.
 
dtac accelerate has realized the emergence of local startups and provided support from the business sector to drive the Thai's economy and build new economic warriors. The objectives of dtac accelerate and Friends Roadshow are to look for startup starlets with the right character and personality and the passion to resolve problems in the community and the country and with the product and business model that addresses the market's demand and pain point.

The second objective is to share knowledge learned during the dtac accelerate boot camp from world-class startup experts to startups in different parts of Thailand to bring them on par with startups in Bangkok, leaving no one behind. We could feel the power of startup communities from each of the previous roadshows that drew massive interest – especially in Khon Kaen – which sees the rapid emergence of new entrepreneurs, startup ecosystem, startup community and co-working space.
 
The final objective is to build relationships with local startups in order to help the government enable new entrepreneurs in supporting the growth of local, provincial, and regional businesses. The AEC market expansion drives the development of innovation-driven businesses for the country, which is in line with the government's strategy to develop as many economy warriors as possible."
