Thai students invited to enter the ‘ThinkNew New Zealand’ High School Video Competition Project to win an English study course in New Zealand The New Zealand Embassy and Education New Zealand (ENZ) are pleased to announce the 'Education New Zealand (ENZ) High School Video Competition Project'. High-school students are invited to participate in a video clip competition on the topic of 'ThinkNew New Zealand', which presents new perspectives and strategies on learning and studying in New Zealand. Students will be in to win an English study course in New Zealand, and scholarships worth a total of 300,000 Baht.
New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand, His Excellency Mr. Ben King said that this video competition has been developed to engage and encourage people interested in furthering their studies in a foreign country, and to learn more about the benefits of the New Zealand education system.
"This video competition is one of the activities we are holding to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of New Zealand-Thailand Diplomatic Relations and strengthen education ties between New Zealand and Thailand. We are really focusing on boosting creativity and gathering the fresh ideas of this generation of young people. We encourage Thai high-school students to enter this competition to have a new experience and increase their awareness about New Zealand as potential study destination for their continuing education. We are excited to see the creative videos these students can produce." added Mr. King.
The first prize, valued at 260,000 Baht, is attendance at an English course in a New Zealand school, including accommodation and return economy class flights from Bangkok to New Zealand for two people; the second prize is a 20,000 Baht cash scholarship; and the third prize is a 10,000 Baht cash scholarship. There will be two additional prizes of 5,000 Baht cash scholarships, and every award winner will receive a certificate of participation.
Students who are interested in this 'Education New Zealand (ENZ) High School Video Competition Project' can enter the competition and find out more about the rules and conditions at www.studyinnewzealand.govt.nz/thaivdo. The period for submitting entries is from 15 July to 15 August 2016.Entrants must be Thai Nationals, physically live in Thailand, be enrolled in a high school or secondary school in Thailand, and must aged between 16 and 18 years old (born before September 2000).
The video must be produced by a team consisting of two people (participants are allowed to be in one team only) and only one submission is allowed for each team. All work must have original and appropriate content, images, and sounds and must be aligned with the 'ThinkNew New Zealand' topic. The video must not exceed one-minute in length in one of the following formats: AVI, MPEG, MP4, MPG, WMV or MOV with the resolution of at least 720x480 pixels.
The 1st Round of judging will take place on 22 August 2016 and the final judging and award announcement will take place on 23 September 2016 at www.studyinnewzealand.govt.nz/thaivdo
