สำหรับประเทศไทยเป็นตลาดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดสำหรับผลิตภัณฑ์และการบริการเกี่ยวกับระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ จะเห็นได้จากหลายปีที่ผ่านมาบริษัทระดับโลกเข้ามาลงทุนและใช้ประเทศไทยเป็นฐานการพัฒนาที่สำคัญที่สุดในภูมิภาคนี้ ซึ่งครึ่งหนึ่งเป็นตลาดซอฟต์แวร์ของต่างประเทศ รวมทั้งซอฟต์แวร์ ERP ที่มีมูลค่าสูงถึง 57 ล้านดอลลาร์ ในปี 2014 และคาดว่าจะสูงถึง 90 ล้านดอลลาร์ในปี 2017 หรือมีอัตราการเติบโตระหว่าง 10% - 17% ต่อปี
