ธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย ใช้จุดแข็ง ‘ธนาคารเครือข่ายเดียวกัน’ กับกลุ่มซีไอเอ็มบี ประเทศมาเลเซียพร้อมให้บริการธุรกรรมเงินริงกิต-บาท เต็มรูปแบบ



สุธีร์ โล้วโสภณกุล(ซ้าย) รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ และเผด็จ พิรุฬสิทธิ์ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายบริหารเงิน ธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย แถลงความพร้อมของธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย และกลุ่มซีไอเอ็มบี ในการให้บริการธุรกรรมเงินริงกิต-บาทเต็มรูปแบบเพื่อการค้าไทยมาเลเซีย หลังได้รับแต่งตั้งให้เป็น 1 ในตัวแทนผู้ให้บริการเงินริงกิต-บาท หรือ Appointed Cross Currency Dealers (ACCDs) จากธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย และธนาคารกลางแห่งประเทศมาเลเซีย ซึ่งนับเป็นความริเริ่มและความร่วมมือครั้งสำคัญระหว่างธนาคารทั้ง 2 ประเทศ โดยผ่อนคลายกฎระเบียบให้ธุรกิจการค้าใช้เงินสกุลท้องถิ่น ช่วยกำหนดราคาง่ายขึ้น ประหยัดต้นทุนทางการค้า ไม่ต้องบวกเผื่อค่าความเสี่ยงจากอัตราแลกเปลี่ยน และไม่ต้องพึ่งพาระบบการชำระเงินธนาคารของประเทศอื่นที่ไม่ได้เป็นคู่ค้า

Sutee Losoponkul (left) Senior Executive Vice President and Padej Piroonsit, Executive Vice President of Treasury Group of CIMB Thai Bank stated that CIMB Thai and CIMB Bank are ready to serve as Appointed Cross Currency Dealers (ACCDs) for the settlement of ringgit-baht trade after being appointed by Bank of Thailand and Bank Negara Malaysia respectively.The Local Currency Settlement Framework is the key initiative of the Bank of Thailand and the Bank Negara Malaysia that helps importers and exporters of both countries to save transaction costs and pricing will be easier with reduced unnecessary transaction cost. Also, they don’t have to concern over volatility on US dollar exchange rate. Moreover, ringgit-baht exchange rates is more stable compared to US dollar-baht.
