"Car of The Year 2016" จัดขึ้นโดย บริษัท กรังด์ปรีซ์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล เพื่อเฟ้นหารถยอดเยี่ยมแห่งปี โดยมีการทดสอบสมถรรนะไปเมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2016 ณ สนามปทุมธานี สปีดเวย์ ซึ่งมีสถานีทดสอบที่หลากหลายแตกต่างกันไป โดยเริ่มจาก Acceleration Test วัดอัตราเร่งจาก 0-100 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ในเส้นทางตรง จากนั้น Torque Test เพื่อทดสอบแรงบิดของรถจากจุดสตาร์ทจนถึงจุดที่กำหนด เพื่อพิสูจน์สมรรถนะของเครื่องยนต์ในการออกตัว ต่อด้วย Handling Test ทดสอบการควบคุมและสัมผัสถึงอาการของรถที่ต้องเปลี่ยนทิศทางกะทันหัน และ Suspension Test วัดการสั่นสะเทือนที่แตกต่างกันของรถแต่คัน ซึ่งคณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจาก คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย รวมถึงสื่อมวลชนสายยานยนต์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ต่างยกให้

มาคันน์ (Macan) ใหม่ล่าสุด เปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการที่งานมหกรรม Auto China 2014 มาพร้อมเครื่องยนต์เทอร์โบคู่ Bi-Turbo ขนาด 2 ลิตร 4 สูบ เบนซิน มาพร้อมกับ Turbocharging อัตราการบริโภคน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงต่ำแค่เพียง 7.2 ลิตร/100 กิโลเมตร หรือ 13.88 กิโลเมตร/ลิตร (NEDC) เท่านั้น เพราะรูปลักษณ์ที่ได้รับการออกแบบมาเป็นอย่างดี และมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุดในคลาสรถสปอร์ตอเนกประสงค์ (SUV) คลาสนี้ ส่งผลให้อัตราเร่งของเครื่องยนต์จาก 0-100 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ทำได้ในระยะเวลาเพียงแค่ 6.9 วินาทีเท่านั้น ความเร็วสูงสุดอยู่ที่ 223 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระบบเกียร์อัตโนมัติ 7 สปีด Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) ติดตั้งมาเป็นอุปกรณ์มาตรฐาน

Porsche Won Two Winner Awards from “Car of the Year 2016”
AAS Auto Service (AAS), the sole authorized importer and distributor of Porsche cars in Thailand, successfully won two winner awards from "Car of the Year 2016" on March 17, 2016 at Jubilee Ballroom, Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. The awards include "Best Sport Utility Vehicle (Petrol)" from Macan, and "Best Luxury Car" from Panamera S E-Hybrid.
"Car of the Year 2016" is organized by Grand Prix International Public Company Limited selecting for the best car of the year in Thailand. The competition was held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at Pathum-Thani Speedway. The criteria are set at different bases depending on the type of cars and their performance. There were four test drive stations, which are Acceleration Test, Torque Test, Handling Test, and Suspension Test. The two winner awards that Porsche Thailand has achieved were evaluated by the panel of judges from Engineering Department of Chulalongkorn University and executives automotive journalists.
The Macan combines the typical handling characteristics that Porsche has represented right from the
outset: maximum acceleration and braking values, vast engine power, extreme agility and optimum steering precision. What's more, all of these features are teamed with a high level of comfort and everyday
suitability. The range of equipment fitted on the Macan as standard is extensive, and includes the all-wheel drive, PDK, multi-function sport steering wheel with shift paddles, large wheels, high-performance audio
system and an electrically operated tailgate. The engine comes with Bi-Turbo two-litres four-cylinder with turbo-charging. The combined fuel consumption is 13.33-13.88 Km/I and the acceleration time from a
standstill to 100 km/h is 6.9 seconds. The car top's speed is 223 km/h.
The Panamera S E-Hybrid is a systematically advanced development of the parallel full hybrids with a more powerful electric motor, a higher-performance battery that supplies more energy and the ability to charge it externally from the electrical grid. The electric drive produces 95 hp (70 kW) with the fuel consumption of 32.25 km/l. The acceleration time from a standstill to 100 km/h is 5.5 seconds. The electric driving range of the Panamera S E-Hybrid was determined to be 36 kilometres and can reach speeds of up to 135/km/h in all-electric operation. The car's top speed is 270 km/h.

Volvo Car (Thailand) recently launched The All-New XC90, the 7-seat SUVs that reflect the new brand image and future brand direction in early March. "The All-New XC90 is the most luxurious 7-seat SUV in the Thai market. The Volvo XC90 range also includes the D5 twin turbo diesel common rail engine with 225 hp, 470 Nm, best in class fuel consumption of 15.4 km/liter and T8 twin engine plug-in hybrid, combining the electric engine with the turbo and supercharge benzene engine, powering 407 hp, 640 Nm, and fuel consumption, as low as 45.5 km/liter, while emitting only 53 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer.

The new diesel D4 twin-turbo engine boasts 190 horsepower at 4,250 rotations per minute and 400 Nm torque at 1,750 – 2,500 rotations per minute. The engine boasts highest speed of 210 kilometers per hour and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometer per hour in 7.5 seconds. The average fuel consumption in and outside the city is 20 kilometer per liter , making it a fun and unique ride wherever you go.
