สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ (ก.ล.ต.) ซึ่งมีภารกิจหลักในการ “กำกับและพัฒนาตลาดทุนของประเทศให้มีประสิทธิภาพ ยุติธรรม โปร่งใส และน่าเชื่อถือ" ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมดีแทค ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทจดทะเบียนของไทยที่ประสบความสำเร็จในการบริหารและการมีธรรมาภิบาลที่ดีในรอบปีที่ผ่านมา พร้อมดีแทคก็เป็นบริษัทจดทะเบียนไทยที่ประสบความสำเร็จ ในการกำกับดูแลกิจการที่ดีและมีมาตรฐาน ที่ส่งให้ ดีแทค ได้รับรางวัล 2 รางวัลใหญ่ในรอบปีที่ผ่านมา คือ “5 Star Excellent CG Scoring” จากสมาคมส่งเสริมสถาบันกรรมการบริษัทไทย หรือ IOD  และรางวัล “Top 50 ASEAN Publicly Listed Companies” จาก ASEAN Capital Markets Forum และ ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องยืนยันว่า ดีแทค เป็นบริษัทไทยที่มีการกำกับดูแลกิจการและธรรมาภิบาลที่ดี (Good Corporate Governance) ในระดับประเทศและระดับสากล

ความสำเร็จของดีแทคนั้น เป็นผลมาจากการที่ดีแทคได้ให้ความสำคัญต่อหลักการกำกับดูแลกิจการที่ดีในทุกด้าน ซึ่งรวมถึงการดูแลสิทธิประโยชน์ของผู้ถือหุ้นและการปฏิบัติต่อผู้ถือหุ้นอย่างเท่าเทียมกัน, ความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม, ความซื่อสัตย์ต่อคู่ค้า, การเปิดเผยข้อมูลและความโปร่งใส รวมถึงความทุ่มเทของคณะกรรมการและผู้บริหาร จึงทำให้สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ ได้ร่วมเยี่ยมชมบริษัทและพบปะกับผู้บริหาร
 
ในงานนี้ สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ ได้ร่วมรับฟังบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับการกำกับดูแลกิจการจากผู้บริหารของดีแทค รวมถึงได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมดีแทคเฮาส์ สถานที่ทำงานที่ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากล และห้องปฏิบัติการ Network Operating Center หรือ NOC ทีควบคุมการทำงานระบบโครงข่ายที่ทันสมัยแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศไทย


The Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission visited dtac

February 12, 2016 – Mr. Lars Norling (4th from right), Chief Executive Officer of Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, and Mr. Thawatchai Pittayasophon (4th from left), Director, Corporate Monitoring Department, the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), took a group photo to commemorate the SEC’s visit to dtac’s head office.

The SEC over the past year has visited publicly listed companies in Thailand with successful corporate management and governance, including dtac, who last year received 2 significant awards: “5 Star Excellent CG Scoring” from The Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) and “Top 50 ASEAN Publicly Listed Companies” from ASEAN Capital Markets Forum as recognition of its good corporate governance at both local and international levels.

dtac’s success is a result of its commitment to good corporate governance in all aspects, including rights of shareholders, equitable treatment of shareholders, corporate social responsibility, trusted partnership, disclosure and transparency, and roles and responsibilities of the board. The SEC, therefore, has requested to visit dtac’s head office and meet with the management team.
 
During the visit, the SEC delegates met with the dtac management team and had the opportunity to learn more about dtac’s corporate governance and walk around dtac House, an internationally recognized workplace, and the Network Operating Center (NOC), one of the most advanced in Thailand.
