แอร์เอเชียจับมือจังหวัดระยอง ชวนเก็บขยะชายหาดแม่รำพึง ลดปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก โครงการ #GREEN24 in Rayong, Thailand





          สายการบินแอร์เอเชียร่วมกับจังหวัดระยองจัดกิจกรรม GREEN24 in Rayong, Thailand เชิญชวนหน่วยงานราชการ ภาคเอกชน ภาคอุตสาหกรรม สถาบันการศึกษา และประชาชนที่สนใจเข้าร่วมเก็บขยะริมชาหาดแม่รำพึง จังหวัดระยอง เพื่อสร้างจิตสำนึกในการดูแลรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมให้กับแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติ รวมถึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการช่วยลดโลกร้อน ลดปัญหาการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสภาพภูมิอากาศ

          นายสมศักดิ์ สุวรรณสุจริต ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระยองกล่าวว่า ระยองเป็นจังหวัดทางภาคตะวันออกที่เติบโตด้านการท่องเที่ยว ลงทุน รวมทั้งมีภาคอุตสาหกรรมครบถ้วน ซึ่งการเติบโตก็ต้องมาพร้อมกับการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดี เราจึงร่วมกับสายการบินแอร์เอเชียที่มาเปิดฐานปฏิบัติการบินใหม่ที่ท่าอากาศยานอู่ตะเภา จัดกิจกรรมนี้ขึ้น โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนอย่างดีจากภาครัฐและเอกชนในจังหวัดระยองร่วมทำความดีด้วยกัน

          "กิจกรรมนี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าคนระยองตระหนักและตื่นตัวกับการใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างมาก ซึ่งเราคาดว่าจะมีคนระยองร่วมเก็บขยะ ลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก มากกว่า 2,300 คน นอกจากนี้ยังถือเป็นการประชาสัมพันธ์การท่องเที่ยวระยองให้คึกคักมากขึ้นอีกด้วย" ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระยองกล่าว

          นายกฤษ พัฒนสาร ผู้จัดการฝ่ายธุรกิจสัมพันธ์ สายการบินแอร์เอเชีย เปิดเผยว่า แอร์เอเชียมาเปิดฐานปฏิบัติการบินใหม่ที่ท่าอากาศยานอู่ตะเภา จังหวัดระยอง และมีเส้นทางบินตรงสู่ 8 เส้นทางใหม่แล้ว เราจึงพร้อมร่วมทำกิจกรรมดีๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวระยองให้เติบโตไปพร้อมกันกับโครงการ Green24 โดยเห็นเป้าหมายตรงกันในการพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งปัญหาขยะและสิ่งปฏิกูลต่างๆ ตามแหล่งท่องเที่ยว

          "ชาวระยองและพนักงานแอร์เอเชียจะร่วมเก็บขยะและทำความสะอาดชายหาดแม่รำพึง แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญที่สุดในจังหวัดระยอง ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสดีที่เราได้มีกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมร่วมกันอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม และคาดว่าจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ทำให้ประชาชนในพื้นที่สนใจและรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมมากยิ่งขึ้น" นายกฤษ กล่าว

          ทั้งนี้ขยะและสิ่งปฎิกูลที่รวบรวมได้ทั้งหมดจะถูกแปลค่าเป็น Carbon Credit ที่สามารถลดการปล่อยภาวะเรือกระจกสู่ชั้นบรรยากาศของโลก (โดยสำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดระยอง) และนำไปแยกประเภทขยะเพื่อเข้าสู่กระบวนการทำลายหรือรีไซเคิลต่อไป

          สำหรับโครงการ GREEN24 เป็นโครงการในระดับภูมิภาคของแอร์เอเชีย กรุ๊ป ที่มุ่งหวังจะรณรงค์ สร้างจิตสำนึกในการรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยกิจกรรมหลักจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 29-30 มกราคม 2559 ทั่วทั้งภูมิภาค ซึ่งแอร์เอเชียพร้อมที่จะเชิญชวนทุกคนเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อม รับผิดชอบต่อที่อยู่อาศัย สถานที่ทำงาน เมือง และประเทศที่ตัวเองอยู่

          โครงการดังกล่าวเริ่มดำเนินการในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2558 ซึ่งทุกประเทศที่สายการบินแอร์เอเชียเข้าไปปฏิบัติการจะต้องเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมทำโครงการเพื่อลดโลกร้อนในหลายๆ รูปแบบตามความเหมาะสมของประเทศนั้นๆ เช่น ในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2558 แอร์เอเชีย กรุ๊ป ร่วมกับ Tune Group โดยมีอาสาสมัครกว่า 150 คน ร่วมทำความสะอาดน้ำตก Kanching Rainforest ในเมือง Rawang ซึ่งสามารถเก็บขยะได้กว่า 600 กิโลกรัม

AirAsia Joins Hands with Rayong to Clean Up Mae Ramphueng Beach Cuts Carbon Emissions with #GREEN24 in Rayong, Thailand





           AirAsia has joined hands with Rayong province in organizing "Green24 in Rayong, Thailand", a campaign inviting public, private, industrial and educational bodies as well as the general public to take part in cleaning up Mae Ramphueng Beach in Rayong and to instill a sense of environmental care for natural tourist attractions as well as to fight climate change.

          Mr. Somsak Suwansujarit, Governor of Rayong, pointed out that Rayong is one of the eastern region's most rapidly growing provinces in terms of tourism and investment and it also features a fully realized industrial sector. He noted that such development requires proper management of natural resources and the environment, leading to the province's cooperation with AirAsia, which recently opened a flight base at U-Tapao Airport. He assured that state and private sector organizations in the province are fully supporting the worthwhile campaign.

          "This activity reflects that the people of Rayong are aware of their environment. We expect over 2,300 people to take part in the beach clean-up and in reducing carbon emissions. The project also serves to enliven Rayong's tourism industry" the Rayong Governor stated.

          Mr. Krid Pattanasan, Business Relations Manager of Thai AirAsia, explained that after the airline opened its latest flight hub at U-Tapao Airport of Rayong, operating 8 routes from the terminal, it decided to enact activities to promote the province's tourism and growth. The Green 24 campaign brings together both tourism and environmental development by cleaning up waste at some of Rayong's most popular travel destinations.

          "AirAsia personnel will join the people of Rayong in cleaning up Mae Ramphueng Beach, one of the province's most important attractions. This campaign is a great opportunity to work with the public in a concrete manner and we hope that it will encourage the public to care more for the environment" Mr. Krit said.

          All the waste collected as part of the project will be translated to Carbon Credits by the Natural Resources and Environment Office of Rayong after being sorted for either destruction or recycling.

          The Green 24 campaign is a regional level project of AirAsia Group, which aims to create greater environmental awareness. The activity will take place this 29-30 January 2016 throughout Thailand's eastern region with AirAsia inviting all to care for the environment around their places of work and residence.

          The campaign began in November 2015 in all countries where AirAsia is present and involved a range of undertakings to fight climate change based on the needs of each location. In one instance in November 2015, AirAsia Group joined with Tune Group to mobilize 150 volunteers to clean the area of a waterfall in Kanching Rainforest of Rawang, Malaysia, collecting over 600 kilograms of garbage and waste.
