Coca-Cola’ appoints Claudia Navarro’ as new Region Marketing Director for Indochina
Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd., the manufacturer of 'Coke', the popular brand of beverages in Thailand and worldwide, recently appointed Ms. Claudia Navarro as Region Marketing Director (for succeeding Mr. Kostas Delialis who has moved to be in charge of Coca-Cola Japan's marketing strategy).
Born in Colombia, Ms. Navarro has been working with Coca-Cola for nine years, in strategic and marketing positions, most recently as Marketing Communications Director for Central and Southern Europe based in Milan, responsible for all marketing platforms across the entire portfolio of Coca-Cola brands (including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Minute Maid, and over 15 water brands) in a total of 23 countries.
Prior to this, Ms. Navarro was based in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola headquarters, leading the global marketing team for the 2012 London Olympics campaign – activated in over 110 countries around the world, and recognized with a prestigious 'Cannes Lion'.
"I am honored to take this exciting position in charge of our marketing operations in Thailand, which is one of Coca-Cola's top 22 markets. Professionally, Thailand is a highly competitive market, which provides an interesting challenge. However, there is still so much opportunity for growth in continuing to refresh and provide simple moments of optimism through our brands, particularly Coca-Cola, to everyone in the region. Personally, I am very excited to explore and discover the wonderful Land of Smiles, where people have provided us with a warm welcome. I have been particularly impressed by the youth in the region, with their vibrancy and energy. I will ensure that we provide them with exciting engagement platforms, as well as a portfolio of brands including new ones, to satisfy their needs throughout the day: whether it is through an uplifting and refreshing break with Coca-Cola or an indulgence moment with Minute Maid Pulpy or a replenishment hydration occasion with Aquarius, the most recent addition to our portfolio," said Ms. Navarro.
In her role as Region Marketing Director, Ms. Navarro will be responsible for determining the strategic marketing direction to support growth of the Coca-Cola portfolio in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. She has relocated to Bangkok with her husband and two children.
