ตำรวจเตรียมตรวจค้นซอฟต์แวร์เถื่อน
กรุงเทพฯ 15 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2552 - เหลือเวลาอีกเพียงไม่ถึงสองสัปดาห์แล้วก่อนที่ตำรวจจะระดมกำลังเข้าตรวจค้นซอฟต์แวร์เถื่อนในองค์กรธุรกิจ เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจจากกองบังคับการปราบปรามการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ (บก. ปอศ.) กำลังเร่งตรวจสอบหลักฐานการละเมิดลิขสิทธิ์ซอฟต์แวร์ในบริษัทห้างร้าน 1,000 แห่ง ก่อนที่การตรวจค้นจับกุมระลอกใหม่จะเริ่มขึ้นในวันที่ 26 ตุลาคมนี้ “เรามุ่งเป้าที่บริษัททั้งขนาดเล็กและขนาดใหญ่ในทุกอุตสาหกรรมและทุกภาคส่วนของประเทศ” พ.ต.อ.ศรายุทธ พูลธัญญะ รองผู้บังคับการบก.ปอศ. กล่าว “บริษัทที่ใช้ซอฟต์แวร์เถื่อนฝ่าฝืนพระราชบัญญัติลิขสิทธิ์ พ.ศ. 2537”

Police Prepare for Software Piracy Raids
BANGKOK, OCTOBER 15, 2009—With less than two weeks remaining before intensifying their efforts to reduce software piracy, members of the Economic and Cyber Crime Division are busily reviewing evidence regarding 1000 companies that are allegedly using unlicensed software. Raids of these companies begin Oct 26. Meanwhile, all types of companies are a potential target. “We are looking at companies of all sizes, in a wide variety of industries in all parts of the country,” said Police Colonel Sarayuth Pooltanya. “The main thing these companies have in common is that they are allegedly using pirated software in violation of the Copyright Act, B.E. 2537.
