From the first day five years ago until now, Wrangler continues to inspire Thais to do something good for the society with simple means like ‘The act of giving’. For this year, Wrangler fully notes the importance of ‘Eyes’, tiny organs that play significant roles in everyone’ life. Physical and mental problems can happen if we lose our visual ability. Even today, hapless people who live in far-off areas have to face disturbing facts on lack of medical personnel, difficulties in receiving medical treatment and financial shortage if any kind of visual problem was found. These persisting problems delay or prevent these people from being treated in time and in a proper manner.”
“Based on the said troublesome situation, Wrangler would like to ask general public to help these people by purchasing our T-Shirt screened with a stylishly-created pair of eyes. All funded raised this time will be donated to ‘the Princess Sirindhorn Eye Surgery Unit of the Thai Red Cross Society’ so that this unit can increase visual opportunity to underprivileged people with visual impairments in distant provinces around the nation with medical attention” continued Mr. Visit.
Dr. Uraiwan Tinnungwattana, President of The Princess Sirindhorn Eye Surgery Unit of the Thai Red Cross Society, explained that “The Princess Sirindhorn Eye Surgery Unit of the Thai Red Cross Society was established in 1995 to offer medical solutions for people who are visually impaired, specifically the elderly ones, in distant areas so that their symptoms can be checked, diagnosed and properly cured. This unit can do operations for people suffering from cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, and perform lens’ replacement operation as well as related follow-up procedures. For patients’ convenience, we have our dedicated mobile unit with full-scale equipment and highly-secured on-site operations. Our unit already helped more than 10,000 patients nationwide every year.”
Dr. Uraiwan ended that “Today, many underprivileged people with visual symptoms are still waiting for our medical aid. Yet, we have limited members and unable to provide immediate assistance. Therefore, the fund raised in this round of donation will be spent for the greatest cause possible to make sure that our team can widen our caring hands and return eyesight to every people who needs our help.”
Mr. Apiwat “Stamp” Eurthavornsuk expressed that “Eyes are vital to one’s daily life and we will face many difficulties if our eyes were blinded by any kind of visual illness. I believe that it is a good idea for general public to help return optical perception to those who are impaired by visual symptoms and I would like to ask everyone to buy Wrangler’s special T-Shirt so that all money raised in this round of contribution can benefitted people in need.”
