PLAYBOY Thailand powers the Number 1 media platform for men
Playboy Thailand (PBTH), the Thai publishing licensee for Playboy USA, led by Chairman Chatmongkol Khemapirat and CEO Valent D. Soisuvarn, has unveiled an ambitious corporate strategy that aims to propel the world-renown icon to become the most popular entertainment and luxurious lifestyle brand on Thailand’s online and digital platforms as well as TV broadcasting.
Since coming out with the monthly edition of the Thai magazine version over a year ago, PBTH has already generated a massive online foundation of 1.7 million followers on its Facebook Page – with the numbers continuing to grow strongly every day and are expected to hit over 3 million by year-end. Proffering a mix of not only men, but a 70:30 male to female ratio that also drives top of class engagement surpassing other global brands.
At the same time, PBTH is launching a series of events in the coming months that will enhance its designated profile in Thailand as the ultimate luxury lifestyle icon offering “The Very Best in Life.” These events notably include the launch of Playboy Channel in August and the organizing of the first-ever Billionaires for Charity gala in July.
“Playboy Thailand is not just another publication,” stated PBTH Chairman Chatmongkol Khemapirat. “Of course we introduce beautiful and sexy women, but we also interview world leaders and other great minds. PLAYBOY also defends the rights and freedoms of the common person along with showcasing the ultimate lifestyle. In short, we represent The Very Best in Life,” Mr. Chatmongkol stated.
PBTH’s corporate strategy goes far beyond the published version of Playboy Thailand and will grow into much bigger things on the digital and online platforms as well as via TV broadcasting.
“Our Facebook fans continue to grow strongly everyday and we reach out to over 15 million more fans per week beyond our regular fan base,” commented PBTH CEO & Editor-in-Chief Valent D. Soisuvarn who explained that most of the “Likes” are attracted by Playboy’s glamorous models as much as other high-quality content exuding the luxurious lifestyles encompassing good food and fine wine to men’s favorites like big bikes and supercars. “To put it simply, we are presenting the super-luxury lifestyle – The Very Best in Life,” Mr. Valent asserted.
Even across other Social Media, PLAYBOY Thailand has a very strong presence as well with Instagram accounts for Playboy Thailand and for the Thai Bunnies, their very own Brand Ambassadors. This along with the newly launched YouTube Channel is expected to provide additional touch points for fans to experience the brand.
PBTH is launching a series of events and activities in the coming months to reinforce this iconic positioning. Scheduled to go on air in August is Playboy Channel that will broadcast both locally produced and foreign Playboy programs via satellite and cable TV that is expected to reach over 12 million viewers nationwide.
Another important event that will enhance Playboy’s standing among Thailand’s extremely affluent is the first ever Playboy Billionaires for Charity, an exclusive event reserved for the top executives and proprietors of blue-chip companies that are listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. To be held in July, the Playboy Billionaires for Charity gala is expected to become the Party of the Year.
Both Mr. Chatmongkol and Mr. Valent expressed their confidence that other landmark corporate plans and events coming along the pipeline in the medium- and longer-term future – forays into other brand extensions and possibilities for regional expansion, to name just a few – will serve to further enhance Playboy as the ultimate super-luxurious lifestyle brand here.
