TCL will also reinforce the supply chain and distribution channels, strengthening its relationship with dealers nationwide and modern trade partners in order to establish its strong presence in big cities in the regions before circling back to conquer Bangkok. The latter half of the year, specifically the 3rd quarter, will see the company launching many marketing campaigns and new lines of products, including air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines. “Our main policy this year will place an emphasis on high specification products with special features and highly competitive pricing options. The company is fully prepared to present Thai consumers with 40-inch (and above) screen Smart TVs with more advanced functionalities at the same or lower prices than those of the competitors.”
The revenue goal for TCL’s electronics products throughout 2014 is set at 2,000 million baht, a significant growth from that of 2013, or 20% increase in sales. New series of TV are expected to contribute to most of the figure, supported by sales of new lines of products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines which sell particularly well during the months of summer. TCL’s market share is projected to rise 10% from 2013, sending the company on its way to becoming the country’s 3rd highest selling electronics brand in one year’s time, concluded TCL Thailand’s managing director.
