CS LoxInfo reports a net profit for 1st Half Year 2009 of Baht 137 million
Bangkok, Thailand – 13 August 2009 – CS LoxInfo (CSL) was able to maintain its
performance in line with its targets and reported a consolidated net profit for
Q2/2009 of Baht 78 million. This led CSL to have a total consolidated net profit for
the first half of this year of Baht 137 million or Baht 0.24 per share. Moreover, CSL
reported a net profit in a separate financial statement of Baht 81 million or Baht 0.14
per share for the first half of this year. Moreover, on 11 August 2009, the Board of
Director approved the appropriation of interim dividend totaled 0.14 Baht per share
or equivalent to 100% dividend payout as compared to half year operating results in
the separate financial statement.
CS LoxInfo reported consolidated revenue, for the first half of this year, in the
amount of Baht 1,297 million. This comprised of revenue from Internet Access
Services Business amounting to Baht 741 million and the Thailand YellowPages
Business of Baht 344 million, Mobile Content Business of Baht 112 million and Print
Classifieds Business of Baht 100 million.
For Internet Access Services business, although the growth rate in the major
products for Q2/2009 had slowed due to the impact of the current economic crisis,
CSL still focused on sales in the corporate customer sector by providing an internet
service via leased circuit (Leased Line Services) This was still due to having a
potentially high growth rate in this market sector. In anticipation of a weakened
economy, CSL will place emphasis on efficient cost and expenses management; also
control and focusing on maintaining the current customer base; and further by
expanding its market into segments that CSL has only competitive potential.
For the Thailand YellowPages Business, total revenue decreased by 7% compared
with the same period last year. This was in part due to a decrease of the sales of
advertising space in 2009 Thailand YellowPages Books – “Bangkok”. This resulted
from the general slowdown of sales in the current economic situation. To
compensate for the decline in sales of advertising revenue, CSL will place emphasis
on creating a new revenue stream line from consumers, vertical books and audiotex
services.
