Nokia and AIS to launch a new mobile email solution Nokia Messaging
Nokia and AIS announced today their collaboration to offer the Nokia Messaging service for AIS subscribers. The deal makes AIS the first operator in Thailand to offer a new mobile email solution Nokia Messaging, Nokia's latest and most user friendly push email service.
“Services like Nokia Messaging contribute to easier mobile living for our customers, and we're happy to be the first to deliver this service in Thailand. Nokia Messaging is an easy to set-up and easy to use push email service which allows the user to mobilize up to ten personal email accounts on one device. Nokia Messaging supports all leading consumer email solutions, such as Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail as well as local email service providers. The user can read, send, smart forward, reply to emails, download, read and attach files directly on their mobile phone. Push email technology ensures fast delivery of email to the mobile phone as soon as the email arrives on the email server.
To make Nokia Messaging more appealing in terms of cost, AIS also introduces two new data packages. One is “Nokia Messaging Bt 199” which allows AIS consumers to use Nokia Messaging up to 5MB per month for as low as Bt 199 per Month. The other is “Nokia Messaging Bt 399 Unlimited” offering unlimited use of Nokia Messaging.
Also launched commercially today are two new Nokia Eseries devices - Nokia E52 and Nokia E63 - which support Nokia Messaging. The service comes onboard with the Nokia E75 and is supported on many Nokia S60 devices such as Nokia N97 and other popular devices such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia N95 8GB.
With Nokia Messaging, users will be able to set-up their accounts in three simple steps. Push e-mail technology ensures that e-mail are sent to the mobile device as soon as they arrive at the mail server.
