Anna & Charlie’s Caf? goes ‘loco’ with . . . . . . ‘Som Tam’ this June
Anna & Charlie’s Café, a family restaurant situated at the corner of Narathiwat Ratchanakharin and Ratchadaphisek Roads, is taking Isan’s famous salad, ‘Som Tam’, to new heights of culinary perfection. Also known to foreigners as “Papaya Pok Pok’, these new menu items offered by Anna & Charlie’s promise to surprise diners with their unique ingredients and mind-blowing taste.
Even though ‘Som Tam’, or Green Papaya Salad, originated in the northeastern part of Thailand, this simple dish with big flavors has gained popularity during the past decade both locally and internationally. This delicious Thai dish has become one of the most sought after menu items across the Kingdom. It can be found in establishments, ranging from street vendors to elegant, five-star hotel restaurants. As ‘Som Tam’ has grown in popularity overseas in the past couple of years, Ready-to-Eat ‘Som Tam’ has become an important Thai export.
The original Anna’s Café had a reputation for its excellent ‘Som Tam’ and sticky rice. Even more than a decade later, Anna & Charlie’s, ‘Som Tam’ remains one of the restaurant’s top 10 menu items. To feature this all-time favorite Isan dish, Anna & Charlie’s is introducing 6 new, mouthwatering, ‘Som Tam’ salads. Each dish has been meticulously created by Anna & Charlie’s culinary team. In addition to traditional ‘Som Tam’ recipes, dinners will be given the option of experimenting with a whole new variety of ingredients that promise to surprise every dinner, while still retaining the authentic taste of ‘Som Tam’.
The 6 new ‘Som Tam’ offerings featured during the month of June are:
Som Tam Salad served Anna & Charlie’s Crispy Fried Chicken Wings
Special Mixed Vegetable Som Tam Salad with Prawns
Special Mixed Fruit Som Tam Salad
Soft Shell Crab Som Tam Salad Carrots Som Tam Salad served with Crispy Catfish

Afterwards, to put the fire out and complement a memorable meal, we recommend a slice of Anna & Charlie’s best known pastry, ‘Toffee Banoffee’, or one of the other delightful creations in our bakery corner.
